Re: Project X and game play

(...) I think starting on top of the board is okay. In our robot, parts of the robot overhang the board. I think the only thing I would draw the line at is attaching stuff to the actual board (ie, 2xN pieces) (...) C's a good idea to learn, if (...)   Re: Train 3 Height and Width

(...) When we did GR GATS we had seven vehicles (a pickup, two SUVs and 4 cars) worth of stuff, and that didn't include the crappy tables that GATS supplies. On Friday, we drove right out onto the show floor and unloaded vehicles, then drove out (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.org.us.michlug)

Re: Train 3 Height and Width

(...) Here's what I did: I have stacked 3 modules. The North and South face of the stack has two vertical 1x2s bolted to each module, and a diagonal brace bolted to the top and bottom module, making an "N" shape on the north and south face. This (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Train3, Is there still space for me?

(...) No worries on that--i'll have a milk crate full of track, and another bin full of cars, engines, and buildings (2, mebee 3, depends if i wanna bring my apartment house), and 3 modules :) Dave (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Train3, Is there still space for me?

(...) I should have lots of straight track for the original layout I had in mind for the train yard was on 6 modules, but I'm only bringing 3 (other 3 aren't built yet) So there you are.   Re: Train3, Is there still space for me?

(...) Not at all! A chapel sounds great! I've asked Iain to bring a second spacer. So we'll have two spacers, one on each side. One spacer will likely include a switch to link to Dave's yard. Anyone have 12 pieces of straight to put onto the second (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Timelapsing was Re: Train3, Is there still space for me?

(...) Not necessarily. I'm not sure if the Digital8 has it, but most Sony 8mm cameras have a 2x playback function that's pretty clean. My Sony SVHS has a 2x playback, so I guess I could dub it in at realtime, then capture it at 2x. (...) I have a (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: My Entry -- Re: Project X and game play

  SW minifigures

Anyone want some Star Wars minifigures? I have a number of them-R2D2, C3P0, Qui Gon Jinn, Jar Jar, and Obiwan.* If anyone would like them, I'll bring them to Friday's dinner. (...) 2x2, I think. I think Chris helped me chop them down to 24 inches each (eight feet). I drilled in three holes in each, making the spacing about 21-22 inches between each module.
