  Is it wrong?

Hi folks, I have a dumb question: Is it wrong, and by wrong, I mean, would it be unusual or looked down on, to have the roof of a building in a Town layout to be made of plexiglass or glass? Iain and I were looking at the bus station at Square One (...) (23 years ago, 4-Nov-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Wow. This is track.

Chris, you need smore track to taunt like this*: (URL) 80 plus boxes of track in there. That's almost like...$1600 Canadian. Plus those 4555 Freight Loading Stations. Calum *-Chris owns a box of track solely to taunt me should I ever need more (...) (23 years ago, 3-Nov-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Dystopic Progression?

(...) I think he was referring to Calum's personal town layout, which has been seen by many folks, rather than the machinations of the group per se. Not that there are any. (23 years ago, 3-Nov-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.general)

  Dystopic Progression?

(...) Hey, where in the world did that come from?!? Only I may comment upon the dytopic nature of our group!   Re: X marks the spot

(...) Just to inject a note of seriousness..... I've said it time and again, This is OUR group. it is as much Robs right to suggest a name as it is Iains, Daves, Dereks, or whom ever. Calum runs the web page, and i am just the loud mouth. IF (...) (23 years ago, 3-Nov-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: another step closer to being a serious robotics competitor

(...) Well said Calum! I wholeheartedly agree! I think this is the smartest thing anyone has ever said pertaining to robotics design. I learned this the hard way over the past year. Sure, it sometimes helps to have a zillion parts to choose from, (...) (23 years ago, 2-Nov-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: another step closer to being a serious robotics competitor

(...) It's not the collection, it's the effort! Most of the best entrants into the rtlToronto events often are people with very small amounts of Lego. It's the R&D process of designing, prototyping, building, testing and repeating it all over that (...) (23 years ago, 2-Nov-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Train 3?

(...) No, you don't get it-I don't care when the event is, that's up to other people. The problem is when the library is free. That was why train1 was at Richview (because Eatonville wasn't ready yet) and why train2 ran the weekend it did (because (...) (23 years ago, 2-Nov-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

another step closer to being a serious robotics competitor

I now I seriously need to "overhaul" my technic/mindstorm collection ... (at the moment, I still only have the camera and the RIS 1.5) Real crappy in comparison to a LOT of robotics die-hards. But I did go another step closer to be a competitor by (...) (23 years ago, 2-Nov-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: X marks the spot

(...) I don't want to be an annoying non-robotics person who is baselessly inputting his 2 cents in, but I thought after the competition, Chris named the event in honor of not winning another robotics competition, and to celebrate the 10th (...)   Re: Train 3?

(...) right....you are the boss....and I'll settle for whenever you choose to run it....and in the mean time, I'll be making sure my contribution is as feasible as possible..... Benjamin Medinets (23 years ago, 2-Nov-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: X marks the spot

  X marks the spot

  Re: Train 3?

(...) You can pick a date all you want, but it don't matter till it gets booked with the Library-when they have free spots determines when any rtl event is. :) Calum (23 years ago, 1-Nov-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Train 3?

(...) I guess with all this "sudden interest".... I suggest that we pick out a date for Train 3, so we all have enough time to plan out our group and individual strategies regarding the stuff we are displaying for it... possible title.... keep your (...)
