  Somebody say something...

I'm getting tried of the replica rolex spams. Also what's the point of getting a flu shot if it gives you the flu. Ok not really the flu, but flu like side effects. So I currently feel like I have the flu even though technically I don't have the (...) (20 years ago, 1-Dec-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: 4679 tubs now $19.97

(...) Thanks Greg. I picked up two today. To make the deals even better, they are giving out one pack of LEGO Magazine plus Bionicle comic book for each Lego item bought. Tubs count. I pushed my luck a bit and managed to score an even sweeter deal, (...) (20 years ago, 1-Dec-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: More Butters Fun

(...) snip (...) Your original Butters is pretty nice, and seems pretty accurate. That shuriken scene was so wrong, but so funny. Great job! My first MOC after getting back into Lego was a sculpture too, but I was quickly lured back into making (...) (20 years ago, 30-Nov-04, to lugnet.fun, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

  More for gadget lovers...

I saw this (URL) mentioned in a blog I frequent... A 1900 fax machine, the "Telediagraph" that could send pictures (line art) via teletype. Kind of reminded me of the many Lego copiers I've seen on the web....but complete electromechanical...you (...) (20 years ago, 30-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  More Butters Fun

The following is my original post announcing Butters: (...) Butters was meant for Hobby Show 2003, but due to a miscommunication I missed that event... But we made it to Hobby Show 2004 (Good show guys!), which means it has done what it was built (...) (20 years ago, 30-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.sculpture, lugnet.fun, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

Crossing over to the dark side...

Well, the pull of the dark side has finally overcome me.... I can resist it no longer... Dave my friend, you were right.... Chris, Rob, and Bruce - I am deeply sorry....   Re: 4679 tubs now $19.97

(...) Thanks for the heads-up Greg I went to the Saskatoon TRU to get my refund (or store credit in my case;-) and that was no problem, but alas, they were out of the bonus tubs. I was informed (further alas) that they won't be getting any more. The (...) (20 years ago, 30-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Nice bed

After living in my house for 16+ months, and after having a few guests stay over and mention that the 'spare bed' is tres comfortable, I decided to actually try it out. So on Saturday I had a little nap in the spare bed--the one with the flannel (...) (20 years ago, 29-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: !!! Gameboy controller for Lego

(...) too. (...) ...and if anyone wants a Gameboy Advance cheap, I'll offer mine. I bought it in 2001, used it for about an hour, and decided it was very much a "Bad buy" (as I'm terrible at video games). I put it carefully back in the box, so it's (...)   Re: !!! Gameboy controller for Lego

(...) (URL) That's REALLY slick. The movement of the "Wander" demo is really smooth too. Yes. Too bad we don't allow custom sensors ;-) (...) Hmmm... The whole system is not terribly cheap. You need the "Xport" which hooks up to the gameboy, and the (...) (20 years ago, 27-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: !!! Gameboy controller for Lego

(...) I tore into one of these a while back. Nice PWM motor control and encoders on the wheels. The reason they don't work is that whoever coded up the PID loop to control the motors obviously had no idea what he/she was doing. I have not yet taken (...)   Re: !!! Gameboy controller for Lego

(...) The behaviour in the teach video (drive it around by hand and have it play back the motion) looks exactly what set 4095 Record and Play (URL) is supposed to do.
