  Re: Fed UP with rtl

(...) oh, just saving my breath. It seems the rtl events have really taken a turn for the worse. Six months ago, you guys were laughing at people who entered events like line-following or sumo. "What's an rtl event with zero participants; Line (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Gauging interest in The Hobby Show 2004 - Toronto, ON

(...) Well I'll bring the buggy again as well as a new one. (...) Well it's been discussed loosely at dinners and in direct conversations. I don't know if the discussion ever made it to the news group. Basically we decided we didn't want to do more (...) (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Gauging interest in The Hobby Show 2004 - Toronto, ON

(...) Bigger than 12X space buggy? :) (...) Is that the general consensus of rtlToronto? I apologize if it's been discussed on LUGNET. I might have missed it, but I hadn't heard that until now. Thanks! Allan B. (20 years ago, 19-Jul-04, to lugnet.events, lugnet.loc.ca.on, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Gauging interest in The Hobby Show 2004 - Toronto, ON

I think the timing is perfect for that. Derek (20 years ago, 18-Jul-04, to lugnet.events, lugnet.loc.ca.on, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Gauging interest in The Hobby Show 2004 - Toronto, ON

(...) I was contacted by the show organizers who are asking whether or not we will be attending the show this year to put on the LEGO booth again. At this point, based on the feedback to this thread from two months ago, and from a message sent to (...)   Re: Barrel Racing?

(...) Sounds like a logical next step to dragracing! Maybe run the two events in parallel?* Iain *-I was only present for ~10 minutes during the one other time we tried doing that (Connect4/Marble). I have no idea what the logistics of that were or (...) (20 years ago, 18-Jul-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Barrel Racing?

My better half and I were watching the Calgary Stampede on TV the other night, and I say to myself...."Self, now barrel racing, that would be a cool idea for a robot contest!" Any thoughts? For those of you who don't know what it is, let me explain (...) (20 years ago, 18-Jul-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Fed UP????

(...) Yeah...going to Rocklands each night and watching some nice looking women be all interested in guys wearing Lego badges, because it's not the typical one-liners from most men out there... hm... "hey baby, I got a stud for you!" (hands girl a (...) (20 years ago, 16-Jul-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Fed UP????

(...) One reason I can think of is meeting people. You never know.... it may be your last chance to meet them. Travis comes to mind. What a wonderfully entheusiastic guy.... that I'll never get to talk to again. I had a great time at Brickfest last (...) (20 years ago, 17-Jul-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
