(...) Derek, thank you. Chris (21 years ago, 16-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  progress?

(...) sorry. :( How's your robot working? Hardware done, yet? Some guy still working on game engine for you? Chris said he could scan the board in 35 seconds. Mike said worst case: 15. (or was it 10?) Any estimate for scanning the board with your (...) (21 years ago, 16-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: I dont want to be a "steve"

I wish you guys would just shut up and build robots. Your sucking all the fun out of this. Derek (21 years ago, 16-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: I dont want to be a "steve"

(...) Yes. But that's not the point. Entering the sticker is being a dink--it's the sentiment. If you don't get that, don't bother making the trip. (...) Seriously Steve, I don't want that crap up here at all. If you're going to be a smartass about (...) (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) WOW, their is hope for me YET!!! 10 ? clr 15 FOR X = 1 TO 5040 20 if chip_in c1 then {put_chip in c1} 25 NEXT x 30 END this might need some more work, but I think I have the hang of this.   Re: Quite C and BrickOS (WAS: Re: Steve H, C$, me learning C Brick OS)

(...) In all honesty, if I'd seen QC first, I might've gone with it. That said, however, I feel slightly more confident using BrickOS, because I know that it was a multi-person development effort with an active community online. IE, I know I can get (...)   Re: I dont want to be a "steve"

(...) Sorry I wasn't clear. In most competitions, I think the 'not lose' is more or less implied. In C$, a robot will lose if it mis-drops a chip (and signals end-of-turn). Yes, I read that as "A goal is to not lose" I suspect most people who enter (...) (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Quite C and BrickOS (WAS: Re: Steve H, C$, me learning C Brick OS)

(...) Indeed, Calum is absolutely right. I was going to elaborate on that myself, however I was running late for lunch, so I did not bother. :)) What I was trying to say is that from my understanding BrickOS and QuiteC use the same basic type of (...)   Re: Quite C and BrickOS (WAS: Re: Steve H, C$, me learning C Brick OS)

(...) Actually I do proof read my posts. And be thankful that I do. I find to truly proof read my own writing requires a week or more separation between writing and rereading. Since this is largely impractical, you get what you get. :-) Derek (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Quite C and BrickOS (WAS: Re: Steve H, C$, me learning C Brick OS)

(...) HEY!!! I resemble that remark!! Chris There's no 'I' in 'team'. There's four in 'platitude-quoting idiot'. (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Quite C and BrickOS (WAS: Re: Steve H, C$, me learning C Brick OS)

Re: Quite C and BrickOS (WAS: Re: Steve H, C$, me learning C Brick OS)

Re: Quite C and BrickOS (WAS: Re: Steve H, C$, me learning C Brick OS)

Re: Quite C and BrickOS (WAS: Re: Steve H, C$, me learning C Brick OS)

(...) Well, the general syntax and structure of C are the same. But how you call the motors, sensors and other hardware is different from platform to platform, unless someone deliberately tried to make them all common, which I'm not sure. Think of (...) (...) OKOKOK you forced it out of me. a few years ago, kate gave me 2 fish for my birthday.   Re: I dont want to be a "steve"

(...) I'm in. Currently there are two open slots for teams in F1. All it takes is 48 million and a two by four to enter. We can cut the two by four in half to make the two "car" team. Any one got anything they can mortgage for 48 million? Derek (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
