Re: Handling "Kid play areas" on layouts

(...) A "K-8" is a standard size storage box for LEGO. It's about 30"x18"x16". I have one at home, I'll get an exact measurement and post it sometime. JohnG, GMLTC (24 years ago, 17-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

Re: Handling "Kid play areas" on layouts

(...) I'm still not sure - Could you please clarify what " K-8 " is/means? I seems from what I'm reading that it is not the name of a set or style or "line" of LEGO, but rather a nickname for a container that holds excess LEGO that can't be put in (...) (...) We're looking at incorporating a kid's play area into our show layouts. How did TLC's donation come about? Did Brad contact you or vice versa? SRC NALug (24 years ago, 16-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

Supertrain 2001 (was Re: Making up our collective minds...)

(...) Well it's at "The Big 4 Building in Stampede Park" and they mention that "we may have to place pillars within or adjacent to your display" and that no propane or internal combustion during the show, so I think that there's a lot of room. (...) :) That's cool. I may also do a S@H order over the winter, and get some bulk windows, for a skyscraper. I've got a decent amount of 4w3h windows & a bunch of classic windows, too. Enough that I could do a few more houses without strain. James (24 years ago, 13-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

Re: Making up our collective minds...

(...) True. Have you gotten any indication from them what size they would give us? The largest we can take up (without using the roundtable) is 120" x 180" or 150" x 150". If we have the roundtable, we can increase that to 150" x 180". Obviously we (...) (24 years ago, 13-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

  Making up our collective minds...

OK, like Michel suggested, it's probably a good idea to slow down the tossing around of new ideas, and make some decisions.
