I really want to thank everyone for all their support.
LEGO has brought me much happiness, but I think it's time to move on.

For Todd and Suzanne, I have the utmost respect.
Of all the places, for LEGO fans, LUGNet truly has no equal.
Of all the places on the net, LUGNet has been my favorite.
Let's take a moment to thank Todd & Suz for their efforts.
So in closure, I'd like to thank everyone and wish you all the best of luck.

It's too bad things have become so aggresive.  I for one think that
Mark's joke was a stroke of genius.  I read it before anyone had picked up
on it.  Right away I thought..."wow, that's too bad, It's his creativity
that drew me into Lugnet and Brickshelf.  If not for his MOCs, I might still
be collecting Lego just for the cool sets and not to create anything of my own."

I was entirely suckered into this thing.  Then, when I came back to
this thread and read the 30 posts that were suddenly there...I realised that
a hornet's nest had been stirred up.  Personally, I'm just glad that Mark is
apparently not going to sell off his collection.  He suckered me good.  I
applaud him for that.  Score one for Mark.  It's not often that someone can
pull the wool over my eyes, and when it happens I swallow my pride and lick
my wounds and say, "Good job!  You got me."

He got you with this one folks.  Some people weren't fooled for even a
second, kudos for them.  But the rest, especially those who either took it
personally or believe others took it personally...swallow your pride.

Why does it seem like Lugnet is so unfriendly lately?  Maybe because
too many people are taking this hobby too seriously.  My father collects old
tools and bottles, often these things are broken, but he displays them with
pride.  It's his thing.  I don't have to understand it to except.  My wife
doesn't understand why I "play" with Lego and read comic books or drool over
old G.I.Joe and Transformers.  She doesn't have to understan...she excepts it.

So my point is this...If you would like Lugnet to be more fun, leave
out the psychiatric mumble jumble, don't take it so serious.  My level of
fun may be different from my wife's, but we work around it.  The same goes
for members of Lugnet.  Unfortunately, I see so little humor from member's
posts that I scarcely participate.  These same humorless people are in this
thread posting about how humor should be dictated.  I don't get it.  Where's
the fun?

For me, Mark's post was fun...until I read the 30+ replies.  Then it
wasn't funny any more.  Some of the replies simply bled the fun out of me.
After I finish with this post, it may be awhile before I post again.  I can
swallow my pride enough so that I'm not hurt or insulted by a joke.  Why
can't more members of Lugnet?
