Aardman Animations recently signed a 5-picture deal with Dreamworks SKG,
that's all. They will produce 5 feature films for Dreamworks, beginning
with "Chicken Run", which was mentioned earlier in this thread. You can
check out a preview of "Chicken Run" on the "Prince of Egypt" DVD. (And
while you're out renting/buying DVDs, you might as well pick up the
"Wallace and Gromit" collection DVD, which includes all three short
films, a mini-documentary, a few interesting early films and tests from
creator Nick Park, and an assortment of animated station IDs for Channel
2. Fun stuff!) The deal with Dreamworks is for feature films only;
Aardman will continue to make short films and commerials on their own.
Cracking post, Gromit,
Pete
