Re: Lee Iacocca's Kevin Bacon number <= 3 (Was: LDraw Parts Update 9905) —Jeff Stembel
(...) This reminded me to check on how many degrees of separation I am from Kevin Bacon. As it turns out, I am closer than Lee Iacocca! Kevin Bacon was in Planes, Trains & Automobiles with Ben Stein I shook hands with Ben Stein at my graduation Of (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jul-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Lee Iacocca's Kevin Bacon number <= 3 (Was: LDraw Parts Update 9905) —Jeremy H. Sproat
(...) Did Ben Stein have scenes (on-screen) in common with Kevin Bacon? I believe that's a rule of the original game. But you can kindly ignore the rule I broke about no TV shows, just movies! :-, Wondering am I, degrees of separation from Yoda are (...) (25 years ago, 7-Jul-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Lee Iacocca's Kevin Bacon number <= 3 (Was: LDraw Parts Update 9905) —Larry Pieniazek
One of my ex co-workers is aces at this game, she could (properly staged and prepped) consistently separate rubes from their beer money and thus keep us liquid quite easily. And the speed at which she could fire off connections was a sight to be (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jul-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Lee Iacocca's Kevin Bacon number —Tom McDonald
(...) I missed out on this while it was hot: does anyone know if Willie Nelson or Randy Travis has been in a scene with Kevin Bacon? I'm trying to ascertain my degrees here. -Tom McD. when replying, the Treaty of Spamcake was actually signed in 971 (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jul-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Lee Iacocca's Kevin Bacon number —Larry Pieniazek
No free goods!!! Go do your research at IMdB. As a member of the media you need to be spanked, you've been naughty. No, wait, that's not it. As a member of the media you need to learn to do research. IMdB is a great resource, very comprehensive, and (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jul-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Lee Iacocca's Kevin Bacon number —Larry Pieniazek
(...) No, not 3 degrees. Unless you have an actor credit in a movie, your distance is infinite. That's just the way it works... People are confusing the "six degrees of separation" thing (1) with the back to Bacon thing. The rules are different (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Lee Iacocca's Kevin Bacon number —Tom McDonald
(...) Ah. Okay, that's important to know. I guess I'll just have to try and land a part somewhere in a movie with someone famous then for the backbacon thing. (...) That can make you think twice before posting something on the 'net. And supposedly (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)
