If you contact the agencies directly the fee is 8 bucks. If you first get turned down for something because of a report, the fee is free. Takes a letter, though, in each case. If you call, you'll pay 30. (...) (25 years ago, 17-Mar-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Fees for your credit report vary from state to state. In some states, you're allowed one free copy per year. But, if you were denied credit (in the last 60 days) the credit reporting agency, who's report on which the the denial was based, is (...) (25 years ago, 17-Mar-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

(...) Maybe. Their justification for charging me a buck a page was they had to pay their employee to do that.
