Re: Some 2005 sets showing up already in regular stores.

(...) (snip) Holy cow...I used to vacation in Fon-Du-Lac around 1980. Right on the lake...little rental place called Dorette. Cool town, lots of great American Indian culture in the area. Too bad about all the mosquitos though. :o) --Dave (20 years ago, 24-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: LEGO Factory Contest: Rules or Suggestions?

(...) Don't be so square, Dave. --Muze :) [Who realizes that he just submitted a model larger than 16x16--but at least it's cool....] (20 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: LEGO Factory Contest: Rules or Suggestions?

(...) Is this the sort of inner city gang fighting that goes on in most slums? "No, foo! Chek it: 5urface area of a sphere iz 4*pi*r^2." "Yeah beeyach, but this be ALL about the elliptikal, not the spherikal!" Where does it end, people? Today we're (...) (20 years ago, 22-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: LEGO sells "violent" toys?

Looking at 2004 Lego catalog cover I can't help but see a lot of aggression -it is all swords, teeth, claws, etc. Everyone can understand - this is a pure marketing, that's what american children would buy. But, after all, how else can you prepare (...) (20 years ago, 17-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

Re: Pinpoint--entry for the Military Hover Contest

(...) Nope, we had a LUG meet that day, and by the time I got home, it was over. If you're ever back in the neighboorhood, give a ring. Rick (20 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

Re: Pinpoint--entry for the Military Hover Contest

(...) I'm originally from Minnesota, and I live there now, but I graduated from Michigan State in 1995. I recalled from a previous post of yours that you live in Spartan country, so I figured you'd seen the game. (20 years ago, 16-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

  Re: Milestone?

(...) What, did I need to set the FUT to .pun to get a rise out of this crowd? I mean, sheesh. (20 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Milestone?

(...) That's "enought" to anyone who wasn't sure. Not to be confused with the more pedestrian "enough." Dave! (20 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Milestone?

(...) Woo hoo! Okay, so it didn't hit 50,000 on Tuesday GMT, but close enought. Happy 50K, LUGNET.OT! Dave! (20 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Milestone?

(...) Very random. Speaking of which, I made one of my rather irregular updates to the .fun sidebar. (20 years ago, 10-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Milestone?

(...) Wow! 2nd highest post count for a top-level group next to lugnet.loc.*! I had no idea it was that high (or that close to passing the 50K mark). Any reason it should be today? DaveE (20 years ago, 9-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Milestone?

(...) Lets see... I was so tired yesterday that when i put a brand new computer system in the back of my pickup (still boxed up), i forgot to close the gate and didn't realize it until i got home.   Re: Milestone?

  Milestone?

Hey all: I'd like to see the post-count for lugnet.off-topic hit 50,000 today, but it just seems artificial to do a lot of ".test" posts or to reply arbitrarily to 15 other posts. So can we get 14 people to post here today? If you'd like, you can (...) (20 years ago, 9-Nov-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)
