Well, yesterday morning we discovered my neighbor across the road's sheep dead
from a mountain lion attack. It had been dragged several feet, partially eaten,
and half buried with dirt and grass (there were claw scrape marks all around in
the dirt and it was a large sheep which is why we think it was a mountain lion).
My neighbor only got around to hauling it away this morning when I was leaving
to take the kids to school-- it looked as though the mountain lion had returned
last night and eaten more of the carcass.
