It may have more to do with the environmental destruction wrought
by Dutch Royal Shell, mostly in the Arctic and in Africa. I'm more
concerned about their activities from a human standpoint, but like
most extractive industries, it's their depradations that make our
rather cosy way of life even possible.

Yeah, but people are much more prepared to run into a burning building
to save trapped people if there's a side benefit...;)
