Could you just contract out the shirts to whoever does them now? I mean the
t-shirts and polos in the catalog and at outlets. I think I am more interested
in having a say in the look of the shirts than how they are produced. As for
high quality, it would probably be best to use official LEGO logos and designs,
to avoid a 'bootleg' appearance. On a physical quality note, a choice of 100%
cotton and 50/50 poly/cotton would be excellent.

I would pay $25 for t-shirts of the various castle torsos(1), as well as the
different space torsos(2). But I don't see why these shirts would be any more
expensive than the ones offered now. As Nathan suggested earlier in the thread,
it would be great if the shirts were offered in long sleeves as well, so we
could have full torso replicas. And as several people have noted, we come in
ALL sizes, S to XXXXL!
There are other good ideas for shirts (chronology of trains, LEGO slogans,
stud/brick designs), but I think the main emphasis should be on torsos. What
could be cooler than dressing up like your favorite minifig? Well, probably a
lot of things, but I'm a LEGO nerd, what do you want? Plus, they just look
good.
Another design suggestion would be to leave out a lot of words and captions and
stuff. Just the design is enough, along with a small square LEGO logo on the
sleeve or upper back, as suggested by Bram above.

We are begging you to let us buy stuff from you. What is the delay? The neato
t-shirts from Brickfest were put together in a month. If these shirts are done
well, I could see half of my wardrobe (which consists mainly of t-shirts)
coming from LEGO. Take our money, please!

(1): Castle torsos I would buy:
-Black Falcon logo on blue w/black sleeves
-Wolfpack logo on all-brown
-Crusaders (lion rampant) logo on red w/blue sleeves
-Forestmen shirt w/blue collar $ sleeves (no belt! - this would look dumb!)
(2): Space torsos I would buy:
-Classic Space in blue and black
-Futuron in blue
-M-Tron logo on red w/white sleeves

| LD- If the usage of LEGO marks (as in torso concepts suggested) is a problem, please just say so. I'm sure the community would have more great ideas. Someone had suggested (don't remember who) just the classic smiley. I'd love a shirt with just that (...) (24 years ago, 17-Feb-01, to lugnet.lego.direct)
