First, I have to say that I agree with practically everything that Dave Schuler Writes in post 6299. But, I have to point out some comments that i found to be disturbing. IMO, no debate here deserves to die so long as people are still being calm and principled and the debate is taking place in the most appropriate group (often .off-topic.debate).
