Hard to see this as simply counter-spin. Indeed, its a bit light on for spin at
all. It is a grave concern when folks can't seperate the spin from the facts.
Its like treating the various newspapers in Don's other post (which for the most
part seem to recycle government media sources or are heavy on opinion as opposed
to facts) as somehow authoritative compared to the work of the 911 Commission.
Simply picking the news you like without considering or weighing the sources
lets you support whatever you feel like, pretty much regardless of the
underlying facts. It gives you a nice warm glow to know that your own
uninformed (and quite possibly horrifyingly blinkered) guess turns out to be
right, but it doesn't address or improve anything. Indeed, it prevents others
from addressing or improving anything and simply preserves blissful ignorance.
Cool huh?
Richard
Still baldly going...
