It seemed stunningly obvious to me that in large part you decided that the
artist and NPR were indulging in some sort of anti-corporate crusade in regards
to this particular case, evidence that I simply did not see.  You've repeated
the charge numerous times, but I still don't see the evidence of such.

From http://www.debsandco.com/nagorka.html (one of the links given in the
article):

" Ms. Nagorka's use of Home Depot as off-site site underscores an element of
social critique present in the work: which is more suitable as a matrix within
which to make works of art, the sublime "emptiness" of wilderness or the
relentless "cultivation" of suburban New Jersey? "

Seems obvious enough to me right there, but YMMV.

I don't care enough to research the full breadth of Ms. Nagorka's work (which I
likewise find disappointingly pedestrian), but the passage you cite strikes me
as a critique by Debs & Co. rather than a formal declaration of intent by the
artist.  Even if the sentiment is Ms. Nagorka's, there's nothing anti-corporate
about it; rather, it's a question about the most suitable settings for artistic
works.  In fact, one might argue that Ms. Nagorka's choice of venue demonstrates
that the cultivated suburban backdrop of a Home Depot is an ideal location for
artistic creativity.  As such, far from an anti-corporate statement, it's an
embrace of the corporate landscape as a source of or arena for art.

Jeez, have I real gone on about this for so many posts?  Let me get back to
griping about Ashcroft, Novak, and Diebold!
