(...) Nice render Tim, but the reflection on the silver armour makes him look transparent. I don't think it'll win any contests. ROSCO (19 years ago, 2-Feb-06, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Re: Danish cartoons outrage some Moslem groups and nations

(...) It is a great example of the differences between freedom and totalitarianism; of tolerance and intolerance. Unless the world of Islam can learn to "live and let live", there is going to be a very large and violent cultural war in the future; I (...)   Re: Danish cartoons outrage some Moslem groups and nations

Wow, what the heck was up with my spelling? In my defense, I've just been surfing around the blogosphere looking for articles on this and maybe I saw this variant spelling and it stuck in my head. According to wikipedia, the spelling "moslem" fell (...) (19 years ago, 2-Feb-06, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Danish cartoons outrage some Moslem groups and nations

Hey all, Have you guys seen (URL) this story>?   Re: Does God Have A Name For God?

(...) The idea of other flocks is a major component of Mormonism. The Mormons hold that the Book of Mormon describes events surrounding another flock before and after a visit from Jesus (after he was crusified). I am not completely certain but I (...)   Re: Shocking! What Do You Make of This?

(...) I thought you put the article here as an argument that men were more easily controlled by the devil than woman ;) There's plenty more evidence that male and female brain function is different. I'm often surprised that anyone is foolish to (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jan-06, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Re: Does God Have A Name For God?

(...) Yikes! I know just enough Greek to order a Caesar Salad and to know that Pluto's moon is pronounced "Ka-ron" and not "Sha-ron." I grabbed that passage from somewhere online, but the one on my shelf is the KJV, if only because I like the sound (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jan-06, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Re: Does God Have A Name For God?

(...) I plead the fifth. Amendment, that is--not Commandment (though, now that I mention it, I tend to be consistent with that one, too). (...) Cool!   Re: Does God Have A Name For God?

(...) Well, I am a newcomer apparently to this conversation, not knowing what was before and being too lazy to look it up, I was intrigued by the John 10 verse and I did look that up.   Re: Shocking! What Do You Make of This?

(...) So, I assume you think nothing of it then (other than high fashion)? I happen to think that it is good evidence to support the idea of the innate differences between men and women. JOHN (19 years ago, 20-Jan-06, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Re: Does God Have A Name For God?

(...) Yeah, somehow I don't suspect that Jesus was talking about Vulcans or Wookies in that passage, but in the original thread I posed the question about "other lands" in a sort of tongue-in-cheek way, and Ryan Farrington suggested that my source (...)   Re: Does God Have A Name For God?

(...) Very astute. Indeed, I think the 'pen' thingie is very telling. What is a planet, if not a pen for the lifeforms on it. We might imagine other pens.
