Re: Rooting out nests of snakes and destroying them

(...) the innocent shouldn't be condemned, only the guilty. (...) Israel is the only country in the middle east that stands for freedom and democracy - why is it a suprise to you, then, that the US supports it? Also, the only time Israel "attacked" (...)   Re: Rooting out nests of snakes and destroying them

Let me say that things happen for a reason, whether we agree or like it or not. I am outraged by this tragedy and I hope that justice is served. I also hope we don't too become indiscriminate murderers now that we've sadly been given a taste of such (...) (23 years ago, 13-Sep-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: War

(...) Well said, Richard. In the worst possible way, we have become the victims of indiscriminate murder whereas, as you noted, America (specifically government and corporate entities) had undeniably been perpetrators or collaborators elsewhere. I (...) (23 years ago, 13-Sep-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Terrorist Attacks on America

(...) I think Ebay should ban it for good and if they don't I'm never buying there again. I think it's just plain sick! Any person wishing to buy, sell, trade and/or somehow turn a profit from debris soaked with the blood of their countrymen is (...) (23 years ago, 13-Sep-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Harry Potter getting left out

(...) When I was on a diet earlier this year, my NLSO would make me drive to the shops and buy her some hot chips. The hot chip aroma would linger in the car for hours. pete.w (finding possible reasons for failure of diet) (23 years ago, 13-Sep-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Don't admit you do it either, so you can't create a (...) (23 years ago, 13-Sep-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Sorting Air Safety (Re: Rooting out nests of snakes and destroying them)

(...) What is being proposed is not Air safety but Defense against forign (or possibly domestic) attack. Defending the people is a primary function of any governnment even under the most libertarian models. Lester (Who almost always agrees with (...)   Sorting Air Safety (Re: Rooting out nests of snakes and destroying them)

It appears to me that your post is nothing but a troll for a bunch of angry replies... but I may be wrong. (...) I'm glad you have broken your own moratorium Larry, I have been waiting to ask you if you still think removing federal involvement in (...) (23 years ago, 13-Sep-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Harry Potter getting left out

(...) Neither could I resist making the somewhat sad statement in the first place. The irony was that I lived near a toffee factory which emitted a saliva inducing sickly sweet aroma at times when I couldn't actually buy toffee (or Mars Bars) in the (...)   Rooting out nests of snakes and destroying them

To the people who think that the subject line isn't the right way to view what needs to be done now, I would invite you to suggest another course of action. Ignoring the problem isn't going to work. Appeasement isn't going to work. Sanctions aren't (...) (23 years ago, 13-Sep-01, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
