  Hi Everyone! (esp. Richard)

Hi everyone! My name is Zac Soden. I am 16 years old and live on the sunshine coast in Queensland. I have been a Lego maniac all of my life and are a keen collector of Star Wars sets. (URL) - thats my universe (still not fininshed) Well I worked it (...) (24 years ago, 3-Apr-01, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.gaming, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Port Block/Port Block Yards/Studs easier to read...

Evening all, After worthy feedback from helpful dudes (thanks Tim and Udo), and having seen the Netscape rendition of the Port Block Yards site for the first time (eeeek!), I have washed simpler, lower contrast backgrounds through all three sites, (...)   Re: Mega bloks compatible?

(...) Even better than that, Best-Lock has some 1x1 and 1x2 bricks with side studs; given the 20LDU height, you can stack several of these and make a secure perpedicular mounting surface for bricks. The colors aren't too far off LEGO true, so some (...) (24 years ago, 3-Apr-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Mega bloks compatible?

(...) Oh, hey thanks for the info... yeah, I could tell the studs were too tall. Hey, wait... that means Best-Lock bricks are exactly 1 stud high?!? (so a 1x1x1 brick would actually be a cube with a stud on top?!). Well, in that case I guess I might (...) (24 years ago, 2-Apr-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Mega bloks compatible?

(...) Best-Lock is 20LDU's tall, while LEGO is the "correct" 24LDU's tall. That means, of course, that six Best-Lock bricks are as tall as five LEGO bricks, so you can cheat a little. Also, Best-Lock has a few 120LDU wall pieces that can be (...) (24 years ago, 31-Mar-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Mega bloks compatible?

(...) Oh hey, I didn't realize that... maybe they'll hear our pleas for realistic modern pistols and rifles (or something closer to a Star Wars blaster than a megaphone) (...) Hmm... I'll have to try that sometime. (...) ... (...) Fortunately I (...) (24 years ago, 30-Mar-01, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Re: 20 Years of TLC's Frustration with "LEGOS"

(...) Does God have a name for God? follow up in off-topic.debate if you dare... My example (perhaps a bad one) aimed to show how a proper noun in the singular describes something quite differently from a common noun in the plural, or used (...)   Re: 20 Years of TLC's Frustration with "LEGOS"

(...) Actually, gods exsisted long before your "God" who, when you think about it, stole the term. I personally don't think lego has anything to worry about. I mean, Megabloks? I wouldn't be all that scared if was them. (24 years ago, 29-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.us.tx, lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

  Re: Mega bloks compatible?

(...) Overall, the rods and bars of MegaBloks are the same 8LDU diameter as LEGO rods, likely because Ritvik was smart enough to make its figures' hands the same grip size as LEGO minifigs, thereby creating at least a small demand for MegaBloks (...)   Re: Mega bloks compatible?

(...) Mostly. Dealing with just the basic bricks and plates (I haven't even looked at the MB specific specialty pieces, other than canopies... so I can't say if their rods are compatible with LEGO ones, if their clip pieces are compatible etc. I can (...)
