The LEGO 1x2 hinge plate with three fingers will fit on the MegaBloks 1x4
hinge plate, and the 1x2 hinge plate w/2 fingers will hold the canopy piece,
but not as well as I would like.

As much as I like the set designs, I can't imagine why a competitor would
make its product so deliberately non-compatible with the leading brand.  I'm
waiting for my local TRU to drop the price on its stock so I can load up.

Fortunately I didn't have to buy one to find out. incidentally, a Best Lock
brick will fit atop a LEGO one (and vice versa) but since they're not the
same height, you would have to build completely in strata. No idea what they
were thinking (too bad, too... I might've bought some just for some of the
pieces I wish LEGO would make, like 2x2 macaroni plates, or brown-skinned
minifigs...)

(...) Best-Lock is 20LDU's tall, while LEGO is the "correct" 24LDU's tall. That means, of course, that six Best-Lock bricks are as tall as five LEGO bricks, so you can cheat a little.
