Re: upcoming Brick Testament radio appearances

(...) Hi, Shaun. We'll see how it goes. Generally, I'll be as polite to an interviewer as they are to me. If they're being very obnoxious, I don't mind freaking out on them, and would certainly encourage any rants you might want to call in, either (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.mediawatch)

  Re: Brick Testament on radio

(...) Yeah, I was quite amazed how fast word about The Brick Testament spread across emails and weblogs starting around November of last year. That factor has accounted for more traffic than any single bit of media covergae my site has received. (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.mediawatch)

Re: upcoming Brick Testament radio appearances

(...) Rodger's show is normally 7:10 - 7:55 *BST* (GMT+1). Most R4 shows are available for download afterwards - so AFOLS outside the UK should also be able to listen in on this one afterwards here: (URL) A (...) (22 years ago, 12-Apr-02, to lugnet.mediawatch)

(...) An eclectic geographic distribution, to be sure! (...) Well, I'll definitely tune in to check it out! I work in Portsmouth, about 10 miles from the station. If they're inept bunglers, I'll call in and rant at them for you. Maybe they'll take (...) (22 years ago, 11-Apr-02, to lugnet.mediawatch)

  upcoming Brick Testament radio appearances

Hi, all. Those of you living in the UK, and those near Portsmouth, NH, in the USA will get the chance to hear me blather on about The Brick Testament on the radio. This Sunday morning (4/13/02), sometime between 7:10 and 7:55am GMT, I'll be on BBC4 (...) (22 years ago, 11-Apr-02, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.loc.us.nh, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: Brick Testament on radio

(...) Thanks, Greg. Yeah, the Don & Mike clip is funny. They come off as pretty inept, reading straight from the news wire, and trying to crack wise. That's morning radio. I just finished speaking with Ken & Jim from KSFN in Las Vegas. Wasn't sure (...) (22 years ago, 11-Apr-02, to lugnet.mediawatch)

  Re: Brick Testament on radio

(...) Once again, CONGRATS! on your continued success in spreading "The Word". As a huge fan of your inspired work, I had to download the clip to hear what witty things Don & Mike had to say about it. As is so typical of the type of numbskulls who (...)   Brick Testament on radio

Ever since a news wire article on The Brick Testament went out about a week ago, several morning radio shows across the US have been trying to get in touch with me. You can listen to WNEW's Don & Mike attempt to pull a prank on me, only to find that (...) (22 years ago, 11-Apr-02, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.loc.us.nv.veg, lugnet.loc.us.nv) !

  Re: Videoclip

(...) The video received a mention with high marks (A rating?) in last weeks Entertainment Weekly. -Rob. (22 years ago, 9-Apr-02, to lugnet.mediawatch)

  Re: Videoclip

(...) Oddly enough, I saw this video on VH1 this morning. Really, really cool. The fact that it's made entirely of bricks rather than any goofy specialized elements should serve as a reminder to LEGO of the versatility of the basic form... Excellent (...)   Re: loud paper

(...) Do you mean other building toys? There is a huge compendium of construction toys of the past at (4) and it's not even covering stuff like Meccano which are not "architectural." The theory of building blocks has two broad branches. One is that (...) (22 years ago, 9-Apr-02, to lugnet.mediawatch, lugnet.books)

  Re: loud paper

(...) Interesting. Are there other things in existance that match LEGO blocks (or these supposed precursers)? -c (22 years ago, 9-Apr-02, to lugnet.mediawatch)

  Re: loud paper

(...) This one is almost, but not exactly, true. See the Wright entry (URL) at the end under "Misc readings". Somewhat nearer the mark is that Christiansen was playing with the same blocks as Wright. -Erik (22 years ago, 7-Apr-02, to lugnet.mediawatch)

  loud paper

While reading over submissions for an independent press compendum, I came across an article from an architectural zine called loud paper. In there there was an article titled "Lego: A Machine for Living" that covered several topics from (...) (22 years ago, 7-Apr-02, to lugnet.mediawatch)

Re: The Brick Testament on Don & Mike Show

(...) Well, like a lot of big-market humor talk radio, the thing they locked onto was "naked Lego Jesus." They didn't say much, however, except that they wanted to get it on the show and have a bit of fun with you. I'd absolutely die if you could (...) (22 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.mediawatch)

Re: The Brick Testament on Don & Mike Show

(...) The whole thing is getting funnier and funnier. I love how some media haven't quite cottoned on to what you're up to... you can almost gauge a clue level on their part by what they write. (22 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.mediawatch)
