Re: Thoughts on the UN "Racist" poster?

(...) Perhaps someone with better monitor-resolution can answer, but on my screen I don't see the "LEGO" logo on any of the studs. Since it has already been established in numerous court cases that TLG does not (any longer) hold any "trademark" on (...) (19 years ago, 21-Mar-06, to lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

Re: Thoughts on the UN "Racist" poster?

(...) I'm thinking that the picture, at least to me, misses the mark. You've got 11 puzzle pieces that obviously fit together to make something (exactly what that something is is lost to me). Anyway, there is this 12th piece that obviously doesn't (...) (19 years ago, 21-Mar-06, to lugnet.mediawatch)

Re: Thoughts on the UN "Racist" poster?

(...) I just came across this complete and udder BS. If I ever needed a definitive reason why I think that the UN is completely worthless and irresponsible, this is it. I think TLG ought to sue their worthless behinds. Then the US should kick the (...) (19 years ago, 21-Mar-06, to lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

Thoughts on the UN "Racist" poster?

I'm wondering what other LEGO enthusiasts think of (URL) this poster from the UN> about racism. I'm having a hard time thinking it's coincidental that the symbol they chose for "odd man out" is a LEGO brick, given the recent cartoon controversy. (...)   Re: I love toys - on VH1

Eric & All, I am glad I did not see this thread until tonight and saw what LEGO came in at. : ) I think number 3 is especially good, and overall, it was a good review outside for the one guy thinking they were from France (Denmark silly!!!)   Re: I love toys - on VH1

Ahh cool, thanks, I was watching that the other night and had to leave before the program was over. I was curious about what place (not if) LEGO would come in at. Of course I was dragged away by many large amazonian women. The spirit is willing, the (...) (19 years ago, 8-Mar-06, to lugnet.mediawatch)

  Re: I love toys - on VH1

(...) Hula hoop? Though I really think that bikes should probably top the list, I can't really imagine that hula hoops had any great popularity after about 1960. Anyway, thanks for finding that. I'll have to tape Friday night's episode (though, (...) (19 years ago, 7-Mar-06, to lugnet.mediawatch, FTX)

  I love toys - on VH1

Hey all, VH1 is doing a series this week called "I love toys", counting down the top 100 toys from our childhoods with 20 each night. I assume LEGO will be on the list somewhere. (...) Thanks for the heads up, Maggie! I'll say 2 things about the comic-- 1.
