Re: Target Lies and Great Buys!

(...) Hi Tom - Your list of finds resembled the Killeen, TX Target that I was visiting the other day. I wasn't able to get back there until late on Wednesday, and almost all clearance LEGO was gone. I wanted to get a 4561 for my son's birthday, but (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: FOTY, at least for me.

Before the execution proceeds, a different pov. Isn't this simply a form or arbitrage - where a buyer takes advantage of a localized oversupply or pricing anomaly and resells the product at a price closer to what is the "global market price"? (...) There's a local beverage store chain called "Beverages and More". When one of their new stores opened, they priced Thomas Hardy ale for 99 cents per bottle (instead of the $4.25 it should have been). I asked a store manager if that was the (...)   4852 Spiderman Showdown $25

My loacl target has 4 of the 4852 spiderman final showdown sets on clearance for $25. I'm interested in a few of the pieces but not the entire set. I've listed the total of parts I'd like below. (...) I look at this list with envy. Target is the ony place discounting where I am in california and they're still at 30%. 30% is alright but it's all Jack Stone. sigh. . . sun (23 years ago, 10-Jan-02, to lugnet.loc.us.tx, lugnet.loc.us.tx.hou, lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) Well for one thing, I don't think the concept of PaB is specifically meant to cater to the unusual parts needs of AFOLs. Not everyone has tons and tons of common plates and bricks - and these are the core elements for children to play and (...) (21 years ago, 29-Apr-04, to lugnet.market.shopping)

nothing new at TRU Scottsdale, AZ

After having dinner I went to the TRU and saw that they didn't have anything really special. The Alpha Team Mech that I found on Sunday is gone. Interesting? Maybe. (...) A lot of it has to do with the image of the wall. Those core 2x4s and 2x2s are the basic LEGO bricks, and to give the wall a core look, the stores always have those on hand. It’s the rare pieces that tend to be rotated out on a bi-monthly (...) (21 years ago, 26-Apr-04, to lugnet.market.shopping)

5571 Big Rigs, $56-70 at ZB

People, if you want a 5571, for parts or as a set, you need to call the Zany Brainy store in MD NOW. They are basically calling in all the sets from other stores they can get. Well, except for the sets me and a coworker cleared out of VA and PA ZB (...) (26 years ago, 5-Mar-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)
