I'd be willing to swap you brand new still havn't been taken out of the bag
whites for your greens on a 1:1 basis.  Just let me know.

I got 13 of these bad boys.  Need
to swap the green for white if
anyone is interested.  Trying my
hand at the Eiffel tower, as an
artistic challenge. Wow!  I refuse to
cheat and see how they did it at
Legoland.  Can't wait to finish it to
compare them.

The 1200 brick blue tubs are on sale at TRU for $14.99 today and • tomorrow
only. It states that this sale is also good online.

Out of curiousity, what is the MSRP for this tub in the states?

$19.99 (plus tax, naturally).

Which makes it sound like 14.99 isn't that great a deal. Until you do
the math. We're talking something like(1) 1.2 1-4.cents a brick even in
high tax states.

And this tub hardly ever (never?) goes on sale...

1 - "something like".... too lazy to do the math.

I have never seen this tub go for less than $14.99 and this is only the
second time I have seen it get that low.  Of cause, I will probably prevent
it from ever getting lower than that here.  I finished my buying spree and
unless I get some more people in BAYLUG picking some more up for me, I am
stuck at 280 tubs this weekend, 20 short of my goal.  That includes 128 on
rainchecks.  With movement like that, it is unlikely that a chain will drop
it further.  I cleaned out every store I could find within 100 miles.

This is truly a good deal, as it shaves $250 off the cost of each train
module.  I have enough basic bricks now to make 10 modules!  Woo-hoo!

Let's just hope these tubs stay around for a while - I will need another 300
in about 4 months.

(...) Just a nit, you have to take them out of the bag to swap them, the colors are mixed together. (24 years ago, 22-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Anyone: Do the basic green bricks sell in auctions for approximately the same price as white bricks? Does a 1:1 swap seem equitable? I thought the green went for more. Any help appreciated. Rick K (...) (24 years ago, 22-Feb-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)
