This seems extrmemly odd to me. Based on other posts you have made to LUGNET, I
will assume that it is either TRU or KB. TRU can be a little funky at times, and
I think KB is on the way out anyway. A small town toy store would not likely
have a 'district manager'. (and at full retail, WM/KM/Target would most likely
roll out the red carpet)

The closest thing to this that has ever happened to me was one TRU store
manager (or perhaps director) who was as uncooperative as they could possibly be
and still smile about it. So I stopped shopping at that store (even tho I drove
past it frequently), for about 8 or 9 months. Then one day I happened to drop
back in. One of the assistant managers (whom I had been on good terms with)
almost immediately came up to me and said quietly "******* no longer works here.
would you like to meet the new director ?". Needless to say, that store received
quite a bit of my business over the past few months. Typically it was stuff that
they had on hand for a long time and were happy to see go out the door.
So I really don't understand what this is all about, unless you were draining
the store of 'lower profit' promotional merchandise. That could have set off red
flags and got someones attention (not that it is illegal/immoral, just that it
might have circumvented the purpose of the promotion).
