Of course, you get the ugly red plate when you buy separately. These are fine for some applications, but if you could choose... would you ever actually *want* red plates? I just went to S@H to check prices (I'm an Australian masochist), and noticed the following: #3737 wagon base kit $15 (rounding to nearest $) #5309 $3 #5304 $3 (need 2) #5303 $2 #5302 $3 So with the slight difference that its a red base & you need (...) I'm sorry to bring up bad feelings for you.....I just wanted to mention the fact that I had visited the store.... you could always move here to Niagara Falls and open one up here. (...) I get the catalogue quarterly, and haven't yet seen a summer catalogue - which isn't too surprising to me, we're usually a month behind the USians.
