  Prices?

I just went to S@H to check prices (I'm an Australian masochist), and noticed the following: #3737 wagon base kit $15 (rounding to nearest $) #5309 $3 #5304 $3 (need 2) #5303 $2 #5302 $3 So with the slight difference that its a red base & you need (...)   Re: (Canada) S@H Catalogues and Windsor Lego Store

I'm sorry to bring up bad feelings for you.....I just wanted to mention the fact that I had visited the store.... you could always move here to Niagara Falls and open one up here. Like I said, we don't have one here, and it would probably have a big (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: (Canada) S@H Catalogues and Windsor Lego Store

(...) Oh great, you just *had* to go ahead and mention the LEGO store in Windsor, didn't you? I had forgotten all about it, but now I'm bitter again because I didn't open the store first :[ KDJ ___...___ LUGNETer #203, Windsor, Ontario, Canada (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Goin' to LL on 7/15, Any Deals?

Hey, Has anyone been to LL recently enough to let me know what specials are going on there? Back in December when I went, they had the 6497 Twisted Time Train on sale for US$4.99, so I bought 8 of them. Anything I should look out for this time? - (...)   Re: S@H Catalogues??

(...) Thanx James. It figures there's a whole thread on this in loc.ca. I hadn't made it that far down my read list before posting. I think I'm just going to make my order on-line or by phone, whichever it is that allows me to get at the promo sets. (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: S@H Catalogues??

(...) I get the catalogue quarterly, and haven't yet seen a summer catalogue - which isn't too surprising to me, we're usually a month behind the USians. I'm pretty sure the most "current" catalogue I've got is still the January one. Most of the (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.loc.ca)

(Canada) S@H Catalogues and Windsor Lego Store

  S@H Catalogues??

G'day folks, Okay, I need some help here. I hadn't received a S@H catalogue since the Jan 2001 issue. So a couple weeks ago I requested one on their website. It showed up today. Lo and behold I got yet another Jan 2001 catalogue! And it's freakin' (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Studios 45% off at Best Buy

I saw the $100 Studio sets at Best Buy yesterday, but they also had the 9735 Robotics Discovery Set for $70, the 9748 DDK for $27, and the 9754 DSDK for $50. They had several of the DSDK's. (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Lego aircraft, and additional S@H stuff

(...) Well, that's 2 for 2. I guess I'll have to pick one up. Too bad that flat rate shipping has expired. Tim Strutt 8^) (23 years ago, 10-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.ca.on, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.org.ca.parlugment, lugnet.org.ca.monlug)

Re: Lego aircraft, and additional S@H stuff

(...) I think the Spy runner is worth it. The small truck is somewhat juniorized and pretty useless, but the plane is worth it. (23 years ago, 9-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.ca.on, lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.org.ca.parlugment, lugnet.org.ca.monlug)

  Shell promo sets, Shoreline, WA

Stumbled across some of the Shell sets today, first time I've seen them in Washington state. They had 1252, 1253, 1254, 1255, 1256 all at advertised prices. There were also some of the mini-sets for $1.69 but I failed to note the number on them. I (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Lego aircraft, and additional S@H stuff

(...) My response to your questions: 1. Yup, I've got a spy runner…FOR FREE… a Shop @ Home exclusive offer during Christmas. And yes, I think it’s worth it. I like the minifigs and flexible windshield! 2. I too keep recievin’ the January catalogue. (...)   Re: KB Wholesale?

(...) I'd have to say that it does. Unlike us, not everyone knows what the MSRP of each set is supposed to be. Tell them that it is $25 and they'll believe you. I've not fallen for this at KB because I know to expect such things from them. I did, (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: KB Wholesale?

(...) I think trying to make the consumer THINK they're getting a deal is the point. Almost everything in the store has those handwritten prices in red ink on the labels.   Re: KB Wholesale?

(...) KB in general confuses me. I just don't quite get their pricing strategy. LEGO sets an MSRP and most retailers hew to it, or go a few cents below (like Walmart) KB on the other hand is typically 10-20% above MSRP. I don't know other toy lines (...)   Re: KB Wholesale?

What I find humorous was that this used to be listed on the regular KB site for $15, with an "Original Value" of $25. Now it seems to be listed at a straight $19.95.
