Re: Old sets being sold in new guise?

(...) I guess I haven't paid too much attention, but thinking about it, I think I agree. I suspect a large part of the reason the vehicles are not so great in a structure set is piece budget more than slack design. Of course if you could trust (...)   Re: Old sets being sold in new guise?

(...) I have noted this point especially in town where you could always get particular race cars or firetrucks by themselves and very similar versions in larger sets like firestations and gas stations at the same time. Besides the fact that I am (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Yardsale FOTW

(...) Yeah, what I got this week wasn't exciting enough to merit its own post-- 8841 Desert Racer in box w/ instructions (missing a few pieces but the universal joint was there) for $1.00 and a misc. bucket of over 500 mostly small elts (with lots (...)   Re: Old sets being sold in new guise?

(...) The tow truck is no great shakes compared to some other classic ones, but if you buy this set fo the tow truck you're missing the point! As Mike says, this set has some great parts. And it has high play value. If this does turn out to be a (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

"Jacob Arnold" <jacob@gridface.com> wrote in message news:GDoy0K.Buy@lugnet.com... (...) Have to disagree with you. Gash N' Wash Express is a great set. (...) though I did see some Duplo. If I'm lucky, I find it once a year, though we never get there early, or even at opening. On the plus side, I did get my $5 mountain bike, but it needed about $20 in parts to make roadworthy. George (23 years ago, 21-May-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Old sets being sold in new guise?

(...) Assuming this is fact, it is AMAZING that this is being done at all. It would be the first time in history that TLC admitted that the old product is still viable and marketable to collectors and as NEW product. IF this is true, and IF they (...)   Re: RCX 1.0 at Georgia LEGO Outlet store (9709)

(...) I have to go with the "This is STILL awfully pricey" line of thought. Considering I've been picking up whole Robotic Invention System sets (version 1.0 with the same RCX) for as low as $140, I don't see the point of spending $130 for just the (...)   US S@H Catalogue?

G'day folks, The last catalogue I received from US S@H was January 2001. Has there been another one since that? Thanx, KDJ ___...___ LUGNETer #203, Windsor, Ontario, Canada (23 years ago, 20-May-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Old sets being sold in new guise?

I think the Gas N Wash Express is a wonderful set even by today's standards. Well, especially by todays standards. So, itll probably come down in value but thats okay if they only re-release a few sets. I wonder how many I'll buy! I think this was (...) (23 years ago, 20-May-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Old sets being sold in new guise?

(...) I've got to say, at first I though, "Nah. Too good to be true." But now that I look at the sets closer and the packaging, I'm begining to think maybe this stuff is real. I mean, if it wasn't, why did they chose the 6280 and 6289 Pirate Ships? (...) (23 years ago, 20-May-01, to lugnet.market.shopping)
