Very unamused about latest Amazon.com order

I ordered two half price UCS TIE sets and they shipped them to me in plastic bags. They are beaten and crushed and look like they were shipped in plastic bags. If these had been gifts I would be furious. If they hadn't been discounted I would return (...) (23 years ago, 5-Dec-01, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.market.shipping)

Shipping supply bargain at Sam's Club

Don't know if this was just a local offering but in case you're at Sam's Club over the weekend you may want to check this out. I found an "Internet Postage Starter Kit" in the office supply aisle offered through NCR and stamps.com for $1.91. It (...)   Re: Please read, re: S@H orders to Australia

(...) I guess thats what happens when you use UPS. Personally, I like Priority Mail (in USA). As for Canada's wonderous mail system, CANADA POST - first class mail seems to take twice as long as first class in US.... oh well... (...) (much snippage> I don't know if any parallels can be drawn between Australia and Canada, but my experience in Canada leads me to strongly believe that the "bad guys" here aren't S@H, or customs dweebies, but rather UPS.   shipping during the current tragedy

As is probably obvious, many packages are currently being delayed by the shutdown of the airports. It appears that the USPS is attempting to move Priority Mail by ground. The local post office informed me that all delivery guarantees are completely (...) (23 years ago, 12-Sep-01, to lugnet.market.shipping)

  Wow! Free Delivery Confirmation!

I just found out about this tonight, so I haven't tried it out yet, but it's on the USPS web site. (URL) package needs to be mailed via priority mail. The downside is the info doesn't fit on the free labels available from the USPS. Still, the cost (...) (23 years ago, 10-Sep-01, to lugnet.market.shipping)

  Re: ebay rant

(...) Reread your own post... then tell me that all those extra steps don't make international shipping a pain in the butt. That's all some of us are saying. I do sell internationally but I understand why some sellers can't or won't be bothered. (...) (23 years ago, 28-Jul-01, to lugnet.market.shipping)

PayPal rates going up July 14 (was Re: US Postal Rates go up July 1, 2001)

(...) FWIW, PayPal is splitting their business rates on July 14. Up until now, PP had two rate structures: Personal (very small volume and free) and business/premier (larger volume and not free). PP appears to have decided to segment the (...) (23 years ago, 30-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.services, lugnet.market.shipping)

Re: US Postal Rates go up July 1, 2001

(...) Yes. But those don't cash at the Post Office the way (small) PO money orders do. As a seller I prefer to receive PO MOs (although I like paypal better)... Still, the buyer's perspective may differ. (23 years ago, 30-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.shipping)

US Postal Rates go up July 1, 2001

I went to the post office this morning and noticed some rates change on July 1st. News to me. I thought I'd pass the info along incase you're as clueless as I was. Not huge increases, but still, for those who have the info memorized... Not all (...) (23 years ago, 29-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.shipping, lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: S@H shipping

(...) Over the course of 15 years, the majority of boxes I've gotten from S@H are damaged in some way or another. Worse, they generally contain no packing materials at all, just product boxes rattling around in a larger shipping box, so even when (...) Same here. I received my minifig sculpture last week. The box looked liked the employees at UPS played soccer with it before making the delivery. The set box inside was a little crushed.   S@H shipping

Has anyone received boxes from S@H that appear to have been kicked to their home, rather than shipped the traditional way? The last 2 boxes I received were crushed considerably, enough to cause damage to the sets inside. The first box came via USPS, (...)   Re: #1593 Classic Space : another one !!

Watch out for the guy that almost beat me! He bid like $2237 or something at the last minute. I'd hate to inflate the price too much, but I'd also hate to see this go for 1/2 of what I paid! Either way, I don't need 2 of these, so I hope one of you (...) (23 years ago, 23-May-01, to lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.market.shipping)
