Re: Shipping Costs in Canada are nuts!

(...) You are right of course... but not in Canada Post's eyes. They have three categories of destination: Canada, US and International. This is where Bryan's statement was coming from (I assume). He is unfortunately correct. Look at the following: (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.shipping)

Re: Shipping Costs in Canada are nuts!

(...) Um, the US (from Canada) *is* an international destination! (until we complete the formal annexation, that is). ++Lar (24 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.shipping)

Re: No More Small Packet Shipping Option!

(...) It is cheaper to use it to send a packge to Canada, however try sending one to a German home address. $46.00 for a 2 pound package with dimentions 6x4x3. I just hope that the option that was earlier mentioned is acceptable for sending parcel. (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.shipping)

No More Small Packet Shipping Option!

The United States Postal Service no longer offers the Small Packet shipping option when sending an item internationally! This is definately bad for us LEGO buyers and sellers because this will triple the amount it costs to send the average LEGO set (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.shipping)

Re: Shipping Costs in Canada are nuts!

(...) Try shipping that same light package (under 250g) from Canada... to a different destination within Canada and you will find it costs more than sending it to either the US or internationally. Someone explain that to me!!! - Jeff (24 years ago, 13-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.shipping)

Shipping Costs in Canada are nuts!

Hi, I find that the shipping costs in Canada are ridiculous. Mailing letters is ok, but once you get beyond that size/thickness, the price jumps by a lot! It makes no sense that a light "small packet" to the US costs more than the same item to an (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.shipping)

Re: Thumbs up for walmart.com customers -- (and KBkids, too)

I wonder if Walmart is aware of this problem and has changed the way they ship. The reason I say this is because the day after Christmas I placed two orders(i had two online coupons so I placed two orders) one for a half price 4561 and the other for (...)   Re: Hats off Winner to Walmart.com & LS@H - Worst Shipping this Holiday!

I've been waiting to vent on this :) My last 2 orders from LS@H have arrived pre-opened! Nothing missing, it's just that Lego did a real shoddy job of taping the box shut. About a month ago when my Statue of Liberty arrived 1 box flap was open, and (...) (24 years ago, 31-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.shipping)

Re: Hats off Winner to Walmart.com & LS@H - Worst Shipping this Holiday!

(...) Not really a horror story... I ordered a webcam and a USB hub for my son's PC late last week from Staples.com knowing that it probably wouldn't arrive in time. The total came to $149.97, needing something cheap to jump from a $30 coupon to a (...) (24 years ago, 30-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.shipping)

Re: Hats off Winner to Walmart.com & LS@H - Worst Shipping this Holiday!

Ditto--I had four shipments from Walmart.com. Six actually, because they separated out two paperback books and mailed them each separately for $5! Other than the books: 1. Small Lego tightly crushed by 1 airbag on top of it. 2. Big Lego (7191) (...) (24 years ago, 30-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.shipping)

Re: Hats off Winner to Walmart.com & LS@H - Worst Shipping this Holiday!

(...) I actually received my Walmart packages in good shape. While they were not packaged well, Airborne Express must have handeled them well because I received them all without a dent.   Hats off Winner to Walmart.com & LS@H - Worst Shipping this Holiday!

To All, After recieving numerous LEGO shipments from various on-line and retail operations for the past couple of months, Walmart.com & LS@H have the two worst packages I have seen in a long time. Walmart.com - I ordered numerous large sets from (...) (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.shipping)

Re: Estimated weight for 600 LEGO bricks for shipping

(...) thanks (...) Actually that is it exactly - they wanted me to send $11.00 for shipping even though the auction was "pay actual shipping costs".   Re: Estimated weight for 600 LEGO bricks for shipping

(...) Well, an unopened 950 pc box (1857) weighes just an ounce or so short of 3 pounds. But it really depends on what bricks you're talking about. 600 2x6's will weigh more than 600 1x1's. I'd say up to three pounds would be a safe bet. That 950 pc (...) (24 years ago, 22-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.shipping)
