You are right of course... but not in Canada Post's eyes. They have three
categories of destination: Canada, US and International. This is where
Bryan's statement was coming from (I assume). He is unfortunately correct.
Look at the following:
A light (under 100g) package from Canada costs:
to Canada - $5.00Cdn
to U.S. - $4.00Cdn
to Japan (or international) - $2.50Cdn
Of course this stems from the minimum weight in each category being
different but it is frustrating none the less.
