  accessing PayPal

Anyone else having trouble getting to www.paypal.com at this time? No need to clutter the forum, I'll summarize replies. It might just be a transient DNS error or something but I am getting to lots of other sites just fine, but not pinging (...) (22 years ago, 22-Nov-02, to lugnet.market.services)

Watch out for Paypal 'Limited account access' emails

A friend of mine just received an email notifying him that his paypal account had been restricted and he needed to log in to provide more information. Logging into paypal through the normal site address reveals no such activity. The subject of the (...) (22 years ago, 15-Nov-02, to lugnet.market.services, lugnet.general)

  Re: Cashing Postal Money Orders

(...) I always ask my Canadian sellers if they can cash the green ones ok. The pink ones cost a lot more ($3.50 instead of $0.80) so especially for small orders, it's worth using the green ones if ok. (...) This is what I've always assumed happened. (...)   Re: Cashing Postal Money Orders

Or for Canadians you can open a TD Waterhouse true USD USA acount, based on New York, and mail those funny green money orders to be cashed with NO PROBLEMS. Basically you can open a TD/Canada Trust account here, and then phone to tranfer money from (...) (22 years ago, 13-Nov-02, to lugnet.market.services)

  Re: Cashing Postal Money Orders

(...) Two things to do: 1) Scold your U.S. buyers. (In a friendly Canadian tone) They should know better. Tell them to send the pink 'International' ones. It's easy... the green ones say 'Domestic'... the pink ones don't. :) 2) Try another bank. Or, (...) (22 years ago, 13-Nov-02, to lugnet.market.services)

  Re: Cashing Postal Money Orders

(...) You might also look around again in Canada. In the past, I have had most Canadians tell me the green USPS Domestic Money Orders were fine, and I'm assuming they didn't come down to the US to cash them. You may just need to try a different (...) (22 years ago, 12-Nov-02, to lugnet.market.services)

  Cashing Postal Money Orders

Hi, I have a few green Postal Money Orders from USPS that are only negotiable in the US. Since I'm in Canada, my bank won't let me do anything with those money orders. What places can I cash them at in the US (I live close to the border)? I once (...) (22 years ago, 12-Nov-02, to lugnet.market.services)

  Announcement: SpyScanner.com

Hey all, I built this earlier in the year to help me find a bunch of sets that were missing from my Town collection and a few friends wanted to use it, too, so I turned it into something that any number of people can use.   Re: Paypal exchange rate

(...) grumble... I guess you're right. It just makes me crusty, the way they grab an extra nickel or dime at every turn. It sure would be nice to skim 3% off the conversion rate when I buy from shop.lego.com. 2.9% + 30¢ to receive, plus 1% for (...) (22 years ago, 17-Jul-02, to lugnet.market.services, lugnet.loc.ca)

  Paypal exchange rate
