Re: Cancelling orders -- a Brickbay issue —Dan Jezek
(...) As (...) Brickbay doesn't show cancelled orders because of a technical difficulty at this time and consequently doesn't let buyers or sellers leave feedback for cancelled transactions. I wasn't going to say anything but since it has been (...) (24 years ago, 9-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Cancelling orders -- a Brickbay issue —Geoffrey Hyde
What made the second order from Spitz invalid? According to your very own TOS, the seller is still obligated to complete the transaction if it is valid. And since neither party actually posted negative feedback about each other, I would not have (...) (24 years ago, 9-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Cancelling orders -- a Brickbay issue —Dan Jezek
(...) I think the only issue Brickbay has in this mess is whether or not to close Clark's shop. It would be too harsch of a punishment to shut down a seller upon a first screw up. It's true that Clark violated the TOS but that doesn't mean that his (...) (24 years ago, 9-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Cancelling orders -- a Brickbay issue —Frank Filz
I have to admit to some curiousity as to how to handle this type of situation (buyer finds something objectionable about the item, but it is not such an objection as to warrant negative feedback and in fact, the buyer may be perfectly willing to (...)          Re: Cancelling orders -- a Brickbay issue —Ben Roller
(...) I purchased some software from a seller on eBay who advertised it as MISB. When the item arrived, all was well except that the box was not sealed.          Re: Cancelling orders -- a Brickbay issue —Tom Stangl
FYI, I continue to buy from Susan too (buy a LOT, actually), but find myself having to do the same thing - take the trash out immediately after receiving a package from her, and drop her parts right into cleaner for a minimum of one day. I love the (...) (24 years ago, 11-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

Smoky parts from Susan —Paul Sinasohn
I too have found Susan's stuff to reek of smoke. I usually air it out for a few days before setting it aside for later sorting. I agree with Tom and Frank's thoughts....perhaps one of us could e-mail her and ask about the situation?? Is there (...) (24 years ago, 11-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Smoky parts from Susan —Scott Runkle
I have also purchased from Susan. Paul, I would caution that your email to Susan be sensitive to the fact that she is probably the smoker. A good remedy to get rid of the smoke that I used: put the pieces in a tub of Pampers baby wipes. I used an (...) (24 years ago, 11-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.theory)

Re: Smoky parts from Susan —Dave Johann
Just thought I'd toss in my $.02. Yes, Susan's parts are smoky and a day of cleaning is required in order to use them, but I can't ever recall an order from here that wasn't exactly as she advertised it, i.e. all the parts were present and accounted (...)         Re: Cancelling orders -- a Brickbay issue —Alfred Speredelozzi
(...) Mostly, I agree with this. It is too harsh of a punishment, and I was mad when I made the request. It was partly to express this anger that I made the request at all.    (...) A situation has come up in which I think the ability to "refuse service to anyone" would be a good thing to have.
