  Re: This makes me SICK!

(...) (Please call me "Eric", not "Charles". I gotta get that fixed...) That quote is an exact quote. Here's the web page and a little more context: (URL) Listing Techniques that Circumvent eBay's fee structure Users may not use systems or (...)   Re: This makes me SICK!

(...) Personal aside (just passing the buck, sorry Charles, if you were indeed wrong) but I tried to be very careful in my wording because I did not actually find the quoted rules which were supposedly in question. Instead I said: (...) I also said: (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.market.theory)

  Re: This makes me SICK!

(...) Then explain the reasons they don't allow catalog sales or information in the auction description about where to get those or other items. Also, look up what they did to Larry P. If I recall correctly, they cancelled his auctions that referred (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: This makes me SICK!

(...) Please back this up, because I have no idea what you're getting at. To me the above makes perfect sense. I'm interested to know why you think Ebay has a problem with other people trying to give out information which diverts Ebay buyers from (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: NEW Lego Technic Pneumatics

(...) It is actually all the Pneumatics from a 8299. I got a load of them cheap a while ago as the boxes are bashed up. If anyone wants a Technic guy with SCUBA gear - let me know :-) The 8299: (URL) A (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: This makes me SICK!

(...) I'm in an interesting place on this one... On the one hand, I don't like people acting as 'outrageous' middlemen. Marking up the price from what you got it? Fine. Marking it up a LOT? When it's not worth that much? Yeah, I've got a moral (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.market.theory)

You are so correct I wish I had said it myself. (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: This makes me SICK!

Here's what I really wrote, and you were absolutely wrong about the ebay rules. Check out my RIS sales! Why do you have to be mad when someone else makes money? You should buy a RIS 1.5 set from me, and leave some negative feedback, but be careful (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: This makes me SICK!

(...) Yeah, almost as easy as selling easily-obtainable information. It doesn't make me "sick", as some people said- after all, if you can fool people that should know better into paying you $10 for the information, more power to you- but don't get (...)   Re: This makes me SICK!

(...) FWIW, the seller contacted me on Monday (or yesterday? I forget) and said he's actually gotten more than one "do-gooder" interaction on his auction, his bidders were "...contacted by someone either offering to sell the same set for a little (...)   Re: This makes me SICK!

(...) And finally someone actually has a very good idea. I will stay tuned to see if anyone will actually follow up. After all isn't it is so much easier to complain, interfere with auctions, mistakingly quote ebay's "TOS", and pass judgement on (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: This makes me SICK!

(...) I'm not sure where I come in on this whole issue. On the one hand, let the buyer beware is true and if someone is content to pay $120 for a $170 retail set, they are "saving" $50 regardless of how much more they could have saved buying it from (...) Someone could also watch who bids on this particular auction. Then email the high bidder with "visit walmart.com" and then they could have the chance to retract their bid. "David Eaton" <deaton@intdata.com> wrote in message (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.auction)

  Re: This makes me SICK!

(...) I think that is against the eBay TOS. See: (URL) clearly doesn't want any bidders to have more information about where to buy things, because that means less money to sellers and less in eBay fees. I think a good approach to disseminating this (...) (24 years ago, 9-Jan-01, to lugnet.market.auction)
