(...) Huh? Don't see how that would make it as high as possible. The low bidders of the previous auction might decide to bid more than before on the current auction, and fight it out with someone else - making your profit larger. -Shiri (25 years ago, 23-Mar-00, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Will's Spring Cleaning Auction - Update 15

As a result I have finally gotten around to deciding which Lego sets I can afford to live without...and here they are. This is an auction, so here (...)   Re: Bid retractions (was Re: eBay dead again)

(...) Domn't you have to justify a bid retraction, or has this changed? When I read the eBay TOS lo these many moons ago I thought it was pretty definite that you couldn't pull a bid for just any reason. There's no recourse in going to eBay (...)   Re: FA: (eBay) Darth Vader Minifig (Dutch) x8

(...) I do know what a Dutch auction is, Dan. Have experimented with them on eBay and don't like them - if I have 8 of something to sell I prefer to do them in series. (...) No. When the high bid is retracted, the next highest bid will only be $.50 (or whatever the bid increment is) above the bid BELOW it.
