Re: Complete 1650 Maersk Line Ferry with box and instructions

(...) Have you received any replies to this message? Do you still have the set? One of these sets sold on eBay for $1425.00 recently. It was in a sealed box I believe. It would still be very valuable with the box and instructions. (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Hello, I just bought a Lehvak-kal today, and it had one of the 5000 promotional white metal Krana-kal inside. I don't really need or want to keep it, so I would like to sell it.   Re: How to insure your Lego collection

FUT: lugnet.general I asked my father about this. He is a Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) - which means, he understands insurance. He explained that this type of thing can be itemized on your homeowners (or renters policy) to be (...)   Re: How to insure your Lego collection

(...) Yep. Wait until the first ~$30 000 (or more) claim, and then weep when the insurance company refuses to pay up. I don't _know_ of anyone loosing a entire collection yet. What I do for insurance purposes is that I have a reasonably regularly (...) (21 years ago, 4-Oct-03, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

How to insure your Lego collection

Greetings everyone. I hope I've posted in the right places for this query, and if not, I apologize. I'm in the process of moving to a new residence, and seriously began to consider renters insurance.   Harry Potter figure: sculpture [Glued]

Re: Is this Lego? If not what is it?

Pretty sure those are Mega Blocks, my son has some in his left overs I won't use bucket and they are ones I recognized from a Mega Block set I think. Not bad, he likes them, but they are not too contaminate the true LEGO!! (21 years ago, 16-Sep-03, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Is this Lego? If not what is it?

I don't think its Lego as there is no part number but the plastic feels of a higher quality than most clones. (3 URLs) I really like them so I hope they are Lego. I might even consider using them as clones as long as I have some kind of (...) (21 years ago, 16-Sep-03, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: Lego / Disney frame/plate

(...) XXX...XXX Correct, the picture is poor. And i agree that the "lenticular motion picture" looks just glued on. But if the story is true, that wouldt explain the "bad" quality.........   Re: Lego / Disney frame/plate

(...) Hord to say - they sort of look just like large Lego plates with a picture glued to them. What does the back look like? They don't look really unusual, except for the plate size. My instincts say they aren't genuine. BTW, that "Goofy" type of (...) (21 years ago, 20-Jun-03, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: Question on rare sets?

(...) My guess is that the older the set is, the lower the production run was compared to what it could have been today. Exceptions to this include long-term basic sets like the blue tub. Then there are limited promo sets that are only offered in a (...) (21 years ago, 28-May-03, to lugnet.market.appraisal)
