In article (...) Sorry for double posting this.. I was not joined to this part of lugnet till last night. Michael Pratt (24 years ago, 19-May-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: Boxed 390 Cadillac

(...) wow... nice set, one thing to look for (and maybe someone can help me out here, i'm not sure)... if they are not original bricks, are the exactly like the original bricks... since a lot of bricks have gone through various stages in time...   Re: wondering if this is a fair trade?

(...) One thing to remeber: 9V track is still available at retail prices through Shop At Home. Monorail track commands auction prices when you can find it. -- joshua (24 years ago, 19-May-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Boxed 390 Cadillac

Hi! I have a 390 Model Cadillac including instructions and inner and outer boxes. The bricks themselves are probably not all original, though in good condition. Now I've got some variables to take into account: What might this be worth a) as stated (...) (24 years ago, 18-May-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

What are these worth please ?

Could I have a guide price for the following sets all of which are complete with plans and box..... Technics 8868 Pneumatic Truck 8094 Control Centre 8865 Car 8860 Car Castle 6090 6077 6076 6075 6264 Train 6990 (no plans, wheel bogies missing, one (...)   Re: wondering if this is a fair trade?

Value is what you set it to be. Do you want the monorail more than you want the Metroliner? Simple, if yes, then trade, if no, then keep. (in other words, I think they are 'worth' about the same to me, I would pay about what I paid for my metroliner (...) (24 years ago, 18-May-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: wondering if this is a fair trade?

(...) Actually, I've seen (and heard) that metroliners go for $400 as well. And the price increases as time goes by. -Shiri (24 years ago, 18-May-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: wondering if this is a fair trade?

(...) here's what info i have (i hope you all will remember that it's us only sets, that range from complete no box, no instrucions to misb, yadda yadda yadda) 4558 - Metroliner 4 auctions low: $355.75 high: $467.00 6399 - Airport Shuttle 8 auctions (...)   Re: wondering if this is a fair trade?

(...) An unopened 4558 Metroliner usually goes for around $250, whereas an unopened 6399 Airport Shuttle can go for as much as $400+ believe it or not! So if you ask me, I think a 6399 is worth more than a 4558 (and I think others will agree with (...) (24 years ago, 18-May-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

wondering if this is a fair trade?

I have an unopened 4558 metroliner. I was wondering if someone would give me an opinion as to whether it is equal in value to an unopened 6399 airport shuttle in a straight trade. i appreciate any insight. Matt (24 years ago, 18-May-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: Price Guide

(...) since it's from the UK (I did see it) it's not counted in the average because there's normally a very large price difference :) Thanks though. (24 years ago, 18-May-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: old gray and blue faucet

(...) I could not give a price, but I can say that they were present in some other sets as well. I can recall set 920 (early space) there are probably a few other early space sets as well. If I had to guess on a price I would say anywhere from $2-5 (...) (24 years ago, 18-May-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: Price Guide

(...) I don't think they normally sell for this much. I've sold two on eBay in the past 6 months both complete with instructions - one with box went for $183, one without went for $66 just this week (you could have found this yourself). These prices (...) (24 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: Price Guide

I can't provide you information on *just* sets complete in boxes.. but I can give you the range of sets that have sold on ebay within the last six months that are in the "complete" range... low prices are generally just the bricks.. no instructions, (...)   Re: Maidens

(...) Per the instructions for 6071 here: (URL) forest babe should have green legs and a green pirates head wrap. Per Fibblesnork here: (URL) pirate babe should have white legs and either a red (6273) or blue (6251, 6285, 6286) head wrap, or black (...) (24 years ago, 13-May-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Maidens

I just obtained a bunch of Lego and in it are two maidens. One's the pirate and the other is the forest girl. Outside of the obvious "what's the current market value" question, what color hats and legs should these mini-figs have. Thanks Jeff (24 years ago, 12-May-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: old style legs and torsos

(...) Yup, those minifigs were used in sets in the period 1975-1979 (...) I have no idea what they're worth, but there are some 'rare' parts like the 'white female hairpiece with pigtails', AFAIK it was only available in a set that had these (...)   old style legs and torsos

I recently got my hands on a whole bunch of those one-piece legs that slope slightly inward and torsoes where the arms melt into the sides... can somebody tell me from which period they are? also, since I've got more of them then I can use, what are (...)   Re: How much is a white LEGO bike worth?

(...) A white bike is a white bike, but I'm not sure I'd pay more than 2 dollars... If one of my friends had it I'd give him a dollar and we both would think "He's so stupid!" :-) Two dollars, if that's too small then three, not more, but if you are (...)
