  Re: back in cow-lumbus

(...) Hello, Carolyn. Geoff is welcome to come. We do have two cats; just wanted to let people know in case they're alleric to them. The cats will hide the whole time people are around -- they don't like visitors -- but I'll ask everyone to remain (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col, lugnet.loc.us.oh)

  Re: back in cow-lumbus

(...) Probably not. I was really active on LUGNET up until Dec. '99; then I stopped -- I still read groups, but don't actually post much -- I was less in LEGO mode & more in courting mode, if you catch my drift. ;) I just did Brickbay & met up with (...)   Lego at Hot Times

Jason, the guy who built the large Titanic that appeared in Mania Magazine, will have a display at Hot Times in Olde Town Festival Sept 7,8, and 9 (www.hottimesfestival.com). Last year he had the Titanic (about 4 feet long), 3 or 4 houses (each (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: back in cow-lumbus

Welcome to Columbus Lugnet, David (Scooter)! I hope we can use you as a catalyst to get more get-togethers going. We used to be able to get 10-15 people together a couple times a year, but my last two attempt at get-togethers were, well, not exactly (...)   Re: back in cow-lumbus

(...) I started collection space stuff about <counts on fingers> 21 years ago. I build some classic space type stuff, and technic stuff. I mostly work on my own creations. I do like the idea of the model team stuff. (...) I've been around, just (...) (23 years ago, 21-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: back in cow-lumbus

(...) Yikes... am I just blanking or have I not met you before, Michael? Congratulations on the marrying thing. That's certainly a big enough deal to be excused from attending a get together. :) (...) Brick-wars is a bit beyond me, too.. for (...) (...) LIFE! Give...this.... group.... LIFE!!(1) *cough cough* Ahem.... pardon me.. Welcome back to Scenic, humid and.. well.. flat... Columbus, David! (or do you prefer Scooter?) I'm still around...   Re: back in cow-lumbus

(...) I think the last get-together was back in February of this year... I couldn't attend because I got married the day before. ;) Up north, they get together for brick-wars (not really my cup of tea). Around here, we tend to meet at someone's (...)   back in cow-lumbus

Well, after leaving a crappy job far away and getting a new one in columbus, i'm starting to unpack all the legos. I was wondering what the LUG people are like here in town. What are the get-togethers like? Scooter (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: Is this anyone's kid?

Nore was it my kid who is 12 and hasn't been to Legoland. Maybe someday. And he'd better take me with him. The guy who built the Titanic that was in Mania Magazine was supposedly building something at Comfest, but by the time I had time to check it (...)   US Women's Soccer team

If anyone cares/is looking for them -- Family Toy (no longer FT Warehouse it seems) @ Tuttle Crossing has them in for $10. I picked one up and am quite pleased with the additional women's hair in general and that I now have two blonds with long hair (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Is this anyone's kid?

Well, I had to walk in Hilliard's 4th of July parade because I am a Parks & Rec. employee and something really small caught my interest. A little kid, maybe 6 or 7 years old, was collecting candy in a Legoland Carlsbad plastic bag. I have no idea (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col, lugnet.people)

  TRU closeout sale.

Since I don't get the paper, I don't know if TRU as a whole is having a closeout sale right now or not, but as my wife and I were heading home last night from running about, I noticed that the W. Broad TRU had a large clearance tent out front. My (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jun-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: All's quiet...

(...) Hehe. I can understand that. I hate moving period. Though getting into a house was very nice. At least I now have space to spread the parts and leave 'em. :) Is anyone interested in trying to plan another gathering in the near future? If so, (...)   Re: All's quiet...

(...) Still in design phase, and probably going to stay that way for a while. We're getting ready to buy a house, so I'm trying to avoid spreading my collection of parts all over the apartment right now. So I don't think I'll have it ready until (...)   Re: All's quiet...

Well, my latest creation has been to rebuild my front porch foundation. I tell you, it would have been much more fun using Lego. Those stone blocks were heavy, and using mortar between them was far more difficult that just snapping them together. (...) (23 years ago, 26-Apr-01, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)
