  Re: Greetings! (Neophite alert!)

That sounds like it'd be fun, if we could luck out and get one of those days when it's not 90 out and equal humidity.. Like this afternoon between all the storms -it felt like it dropped 15-20 degrees or more but it was wonderful. :) Speaking of (...) (24 years ago, 15-Jul-00, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: LEGO Soccer Player

(...) It's in the LEGO soccer bus that is touring the MLS cities (which means I don't get to see it being in Washington). It will be in your area two weeks from tomorrow for the MLS All-Star game. P.S. Crew suck, go Rapids! 8-) (24 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: Greetings! (Neophite alert!)

I'm also interested in going to the LEGO truck either at the game or TRU. Any idea what tickets to the game cost? I'm not a great soccer fan, but it might be fun to go to. And actually the tickets to the game might be cheaper than going to TRU (but (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: Greetings! (Neophite alert!)

(...) I've never gotten into the Technic sets, myself. Mostly afraid of how much I'd spend on them, I think (like THAT'S really a sound reason). ;) I don't think I have a 'huge' collection, but it's certainly more than I could have hoped for as a (...)   Re: Greetings! (Neophite alert!)

(...) Hmm..that almost sounds better - hopefully not as much traffic as a Crew game (I'd expect...) and conveniently right outside the all important TRU... how I miss the days of living right down the road from there. Sadly, we now live 5min from (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: Greetings! (Neophite alert!)

(...) Hmm..9/9 might be more doable though I'm more interested in the LEGO truck than the game. Soccer just never got under my skin like other sports. :) Though with the soccer sets..... no better not branch out anymore...yet. ;) (...) Cleveland, (...)   Re: Greetings! (Neophite alert!)

(...) Ah, good. Then I don't have to go to the game when all I want to see is the truck. :-) Do you know what time of day the truck will be up at Sawmill? That Sawmill TRU seems to be much better stocked than any of the other TRUs in town. I work (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: Greetings! (Neophite alert!)

Welcome Joel! There are several of us around town, some who have HUGE collections! Not me though! I build mainly Technic stuff, and am collecting lots of bricks for a town that one day I will build.   LEGO Soccer Player

I saw today in the Other Paper that someone has built a life size replica of Brian McBride. I assume it is for the soccer tour. There was a photo of the model. Build On! John Matthews (24 years ago, 14-Jul-00, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: Greetings! (Neophite alert!)

Hi. The group hasn't met lately ( actually I think some people met in May). I'm planing to go to the All star game, or at least walk around and see the truck. By the way I talked to the Lego rep today and she said that the Truck will also be at the (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jul-00, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

  Re: Greetings! (Neophite alert!)

(...) There has been some discussion of a group going to the Crew games. I'm planning on going to the 9/9 game with my family. Be glad to meet up with other LEGO'ers there.   Greetings! (Neophite alert!)

Well, having skulked around LUGNET for a little while now, I suppose it's time I should post something. :) Being a newbie here, I'll give a quick overview for those who care: I'm 27 and have been addicted to LEGO's since I got a Universal building (...)   UCS anywhere in Cols?

Has anyone seen the new Star Wars Ultimate Collector's Series sets at any stores in the Columbus area? I've been checking around my usual haunts, and no one knows anything about them. (24 years ago, 9-Jul-00, to lugnet.loc.us.oh.col)

Re: 6600 Highway Construction on clearance

Today I noticed Bridge To Nowhere is down to $39.90 at my Target. It sort of grasped out for me, but I walked away thinking: what a piece of crud. Besides, I've made my own road ramps now out of baseplates. It was inspiring at first, but still not (...)
