Re: SW sets are in Ann Arbor Meijer's! :)

Mark, Sorry, Mark, all is fair in love and capitalism. Your bleeding heart story really touched me, really. As an avid collector and builder of Lego's for years, I took an opportunity to buy what I wanted, and I did. You can go and buy all the sets (...)   Re: SW sets are in Ann Arbor Meijer's! :)

I've only opened one, one of the TIE-Fighter/Y-Wings. The others are for my kids, some as Easter-basket presents, and the others prolly as birthday presents. The instructions are pretty cool looking, with a small (like 1.125"x.375") scene from the (...) (26 years ago, 8-Mar-99, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.loc.us.mi.grr)

Re: SW sets are in Ann Arbor Meijer's! :)

Scott, Here is a tip for you: when the Carpenter Meijer gets the sets -- you better run yourself over there and them right away. Because if I get there before you (and I intend to) I'm going to buy them all up, and then sit in front of the Meijer (...)   Re: SW sets are in Ann Arbor Meijer's! :)

Oh, so that was you who came by and bought them all, eh. When I got there (about 6pm on Sunday), all that was left was some of the Landspeeders that you had left behind. In case you are curious, there was a lady there whose son had *just* seen them. (...) (26 years ago, 8-Mar-99, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.loc.us.mi.grr)

Re: SW sets are in Ann Arbor Meijer's! :)

(...) Sorry to follow-up to my own posting, but here's the lunch-time report: I decided to go for Knapps Corners Meijers (seems like there should be one or more apostrophes in there). The 28th Street strip, with its high concentration of large (...) (26 years ago, 8-Mar-99, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.loc.us.mi.grr)

Re: SW sets are in Ann Arbor Meijer's! :)

Steve & All, You know what else is funny is the Meijer's located about 10 miles where I found then didn't have any! Go figure, I sent my roommate out to find them since I have been here at work since 8:00AM Sunday morning. UGGHH!!! Scott Sanburn (...)   Re: SW sets are in Ann Arbor Meijer's! :)

Well, it's off to 28th street (home of most major retail shopping in SE GR,MI) I go... Hmm. I wonder if Knapps Corner Meijers would be faster to get to? Steve (...) (26 years ago, 8-Mar-99, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.starwars, lugnet.loc.us.mi.grr)

  Re: eToys sale

(...) Oooo. I wonder if I can use my $10 eToys coupon along with the 30% sale? Hmm. Steve (26 years ago, 5-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.mi.grr)

  eToys sale

www.eToys.com have a 30% sale on some Aquazone, Space, a couple Castle & Town & a few Technic sets. I have never traded with this company so I don't know the service, but we'll see as I ordered a Hemlock Stronghold! (26 years ago, 5-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.mi.grr)

  Re: LEGO in Lowell

(...) Maybe, perhaps. What sets would you put in there? I'll have to go check what's currently in England, but not MI. Steve (26 years ago, 3-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.mi.grr)

  Re: LEGO in Lowell

(...) Unfortunately, when I was "home" (near A^2) this last winter, the inventories *were* low--Larry's leaving the area didn't do us as much good as we'd thought. On the positive side, NJ is pretty good--I got a huge haul of stuff at 90% off in (...) (26 years ago, 3-Mar-99, to lugnet.loc.us.mi.grr)

  Re: LEGO in Lowell

Hi, Pam! It seems like the West Michigan stores are (generally) running lower inventory on LEGO than they used to... And the sales aren't as good. If you happen to find one of the Shell promo sets #2536 (the Divers jetski), I'd definitely be (...) (26 years ago, 18-Feb-99, to lugnet.loc.us.mi.grr)

  Re: LEGO in Lowell

Reporting from Kalamazoo/Plainwell - there has is hardly any selection in any Target, Walmart, TRU, etc., new or older. And the only good sale was a few weeks ago in Walmart the 5978, Adventurers Sphinx Secret Surprise, was on clearance at $35.00 - (...) (26 years ago, 18-Feb-99, to lugnet.loc.us.mi.grr)

  LEGO in Lowell

I found a small shelf of LEGO sets in the Lowell (MI) Rite-Aid the other day. The manager indicated they had been there awhile -- I must not have stopped by in a longer time than I thought. No outstanding prices or selection, just such an anomoly I (...) (26 years ago, 15-Feb-99, to lugnet.loc.us.mi.grr)

Re: "Willing to buy used LEGO" ad around UM

(...) Where is here? Since we both seem to be close to Detroit, if there is something you'd like me to keep an eye out for, or vice-versa, we be able to help one another out sometime if a fabulous deal crops up. Jim (26 years ago, 12-Nov-98, to lugnet.loc.us.mi.grr)
