It took a while of scanning the shows but we finally saw the WYWO Lego show. I thought that you did a great job! (and you look so 'normal"....LOL) Anyway, congrats on the show from another, even older, Lego infected family from the Chicago suburbs! (21 years ago, 8-Feb-04, to lugnet.loc.us.il.chi)

Not knowing how to post, I'll have to reply. I am the "While you were out" LEGO homeowner. I did not come forward because I could not remember my LUGNET PASSWORD! The discussion of a Chicago based LUG has never really come up. I think one of the reasons has been because NILTC took the role of a Chicago Lug and also because MichLUG does a lot with our area too.   MichLUG to display at 1st Annual Midwest Lego Train Show
 
MichLUG will be displaying at the 1st Annual Midwest Lego Train Show in Wheaton, IL the weekend of December 6th & 7th, from 9am till 4pm. MichLUG will display a 5ft by 10ft Castle/Pirate layout as well as a 10ft by 15ft Train/Town layout. MichLTC's (...) I was at the Woodfield store about 8 days ago and no doubt it has changed a little since then. Don't forget only about another 30 minutes or so away from Woodfield is Northbrook Court and ANOTHER Lego/Pick-a-Brick store! That's 2 PAB's within a (...) With all the scare talk on the new gray blocks, I figured that I better 'hit the bricks' today and head over to the Pick-a-Brick store and get what I need to finish my current build. Well, it was nice meeting you on saturday Tim. As soon as i got home i tore open the designer set and put together a mecha, then i opened up the pick-a-brick cup and sorted the parts, i was actually suprised how much i got for only 12 bucks. Alright! Finally a lego store near me, and some lego fans that are also in my general area! I live in DuPage county, about 15 minutes from woodfield, so I will probably be making several stops at the store. The pick-brick-section only has you basic (...)
