What about other groups, such as the San Francisco Bay Area group baylug.org?
As you know, we have a domain name now. Zonker Harris seems to want to
form a LTC here in SF, which is good and could be it's own group IMO, but
baylug itself is not exclusively a train site. Should baylug.org have a group
on lugnet too? I'm not asking that you create one, cuz I ain't in charge, but
am asking if this kind of thing makes sense for baylug and other unofficial
lego clubs too.

Boy, I turn my back for a week, and look what goes on! (Just kidding! ;-)

I like the BA-LEGO email list, which is also automatically (email) linked
to the lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf groups list. (Though I don't know for sure that
this mail link is working in the past week or two, and I have some evidence
that it is broken. :-(

Anyway, I think that BayLUG folks can continue to use the ba-lego list,
and/or the lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf newsgroup. When we have our get-together
in mid-May, we can try to see how many more Trainiacs are in the area,
and see if we want to formalize a sub-club, or a real LTC.

As a webmaster on BayLUG, I'll be heading up the Trains page, unless
someone with more motivation and some time and skill to offer wants
to take the task on. (I'm happy to do it, but it's on a big list of
stuff I need/want to do. If someone has lots of time, I'm willing to
share the task, or hand it over.) Bottom line, the Trainiacs will
surely have a home at BayLUG, and if we want to start an LTC, I'll
be there as well. :-)

(...) I hope I didn't cause any heart attacks or spasms by mentioning things like lugnet.trains.org.pnltc and lugnet.x.y.z.baylug -- these were just mentioned as examples for the sake of planning.
