BayLUG/LTC Meeting Agenda and Modules Proposals/ideas

Hi All, I guess a big question is how many people are "in" or interested in both clubs. I would expect a lot of, if not complete overlap. I am also concerned that if we do not have a significant amount of "open to the public" time the Library may (...) (25 years ago, 7-Feb-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  Re: Who has Metroliner cars?

At the risk of letting the cat out of the bag, I know of a person who has a s*** load of Metroliners. Any chance he will hook us up? (Hint, hint!) Beyond that, the only other person around us who has a Metroliner is the 3 car unit Eric McCarthy had. (...) (25 years ago, 7-Feb-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  Who has Metroliner cars?

If we end up doing NMRA, it would be nice to have a monster Metroliner on the layout. I'll have at least 15 cars relatively soon (not all with full doors/windows - 3 4558s, 2 grey wagon plates, and 4 4547s), Mike has 12, so that's 27 already. Anyone (...)   Re: Next BayLUG Meeting / First BayLTC Meeting

(...) Well, for depth, I refer to how far from the observer a module is. Height would be how deep from top to bottom. I know it is kind of ambiguous, but we will get it described correctly when we determine dimensions. I already built a subway in (...) (25 years ago, 7-Feb-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: Next BayLUG Meeting / First BayLTC Meeting

(...) A subway? Hmm, I'll get right on it as soon as I find a cheap Airpot monorail for the basis. :) But does he mean depth by distance away from observer or actual depth from top to bottom? Russell Clark (URL) 39423705 (25 years ago, 7-Feb-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: Next BayLUG Meeting / First BayLTC Meeting

My apologies for the lengthy post. (...) <snip> This is good. (...) It's always uglier *inside* the monkey suit. I've been putting backs on my buildings, and one building I've hinged in case people really want to see the inside (for whatever (...)   Interested in bayLTC

My name is mike and am interested in becoming a member of the BAyLtc.... ive been looking at some posts over the last week and this club seems to be quite interesting....I live in san francisco and was wondering if you could add me to your (...)   Re: Next BayLUG Meeting / First BayLTC Meeting

(...) I think the room is big enough, but I don't think its big enough for two clubs to meet in only four hours. Russell Clark (URL) 39423705 (25 years ago, 5-Feb-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: Next BayLUG Meeting / First BayLTC Meeting

Well, for the first meeting, we have some things to discuss - major things that are hard to change later on. We need to set up standards for module construction, track locations, spacing, number of lines, etc. These are critical, since it determines (...)   RE: Next BayLUG Meeting / First BayLTC Meeting

Mark Benz typed his opinions thusly; (...) I think having separate meeting for BayLUG and BayLTC is OK. (Since trains take up a lot of room, and a combined meeting would mean that trains would be sharing the space, and tables, with the other themes. (...)   RE: Next BayLUG Meeting / First BayLTC Meeting

Hi, I think we should have both together, particularly if there is (or not?) a meeting in Albany as well. The room is big enough, and we can get lots of tables. LMK what you think. I would like to also have a kids (and adults) brick pile like we did (...) (25 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf, lugnet.org.us.baylug)

HI, I think I replied to you already, but do not recall for sure. The Fukaya room is booked MARCH not MAY 12, that I know of for BAYLUG use. Either trains or general. Mark (...) (25 years ago, 2-Feb-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf, lugnet.org.us.baylug)

  FOTM: #6399 for $92!

Toy Go Round comes through again! On first glance, the set appears to be 90% complete. There are a few missing minifigs as well as the windshields for the train (which I can replace easily). Some of the stickers will most likely not be salvageable. (...) (25 years ago, 30-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)
