That's the big question.
What would you like it to do?
The first thing that comes to mind, following recent discussions here
and elsewhere, is that it will be the conduit for discussions between
'us' (AFOLs in the UK) and 'them' (any other organisation, but
specifically TLC).
Other things which may be within the club's terms of reference (in no
particular order):
1. maintain a calendar of events
2. run a club website, which may include a discussion area
3. organise events
4. publicise events
5. negotiate corporate rates/deals for products/services (LEGO-related
of course :-)
6. promote the club through a variety of channels, not just the internet
- there have to be more people out there than we've found so far!
7. collect subscriptions (gulp!)
8. promote LEGO to general public
9. errm... have it's own Christmas cards?
Anyway, there are at least a few of us who think that the time has come
to get organised, so I started this thread to get the ball rolling and
try and find out what everyone would like to happen, and what sort of
club, if any, people would be interested in.
Do you have any thoughts? If so, as the teacher's saying goes, 'please
share them with the rest of us' :-)
