As everyone is now aware, that 'one proposal in particular' is the RLD event
on 10 August -
TAILORED TOWARDS AFOLS.
LLW have gone above and beyond the original RLD offer, and have this time
included:
access to the Creation Centre stock room to obtain some specialist pieces
10% off purchases made in the Park on the day
six exclusive items available to buy
preferential rates at the Heathrow Crowne Plaza Hotel
We can 'scratch LLW's back' (as Lawrence put it) by filling the places. They
have already 'scratched our backs' (Lawrence, again) by offering to add the
above. However, the RLD event cannot be considered a success until it is
over: it's up to us to behave pre-event as well as on the day so that LLW
can see that we are a responsible group of adult LEGO enthusiasts who are
worth dealing with again in the future...
...and with regard to LLW attending future LEGOfests, obviously they have
the same open invitation to attend as does any AFOL.

There is more in the pipeline. If the RLD event is seen as successful by LLW
as well as by AFOLs, then we will be in a position were we can go on to
discuss other mutually beneficial events,

| Glad to see the next model maker tour looks like being a sold out success. Given that if UKAFOL helped them make this a success they would be willing to move forward with ideas supporting AFOL events, when are we going to see this happen? I realise (...)
