Possible UK Visit - I have some questions!

It appears that I will be in the UK for a couple of days in July for a meeting (18th and 19th). So my questions are these: How far is it from Newbury (where I will be) to LEGOLand-Windsor? Assuming I won't have a car - what is the best way to get (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Just to close the loop on this, someone asked what the US name for EMU or DMUs would be and I have to say I don't know. The closest I can think for a DMU would be the Budd RDC (Rail Diesel Car) Here's a link to an overview of these (URL) that they (...) (22 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.trains)

Café 361 open for business again!

"My Own Custom" anyone? I wanted to build some new town buildings to go around my train layout. I also wanted to re-build a lot of my old sets, but I know that they wouldn't be suitable. Then I hit on the idea of doing both, by modernising an old (...) (22 years ago, 19-May-02, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.town, lugnet.loc.uk) !

Does anyone have up-to-date contact details for Dorian who posted to these groups a while back? Both email accounts I had are now dead, and the two snail-mail home addresses are getting me no responses...
