Re: Proposal for a LUGNET Event at LEGOLAND Windsor

(...) I agree that this is an exciting opportunity - but is this one and the same suggestion that Jason Briscoe was advocating through another forum? I'd hate for there to be two separate initiatives. Chris (23 years ago, 22-Apr-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Lego Fest on Saturday

Who's going to London on Saturday for Gael's Fest? (URL) has been set up to swap a lot of parts - particularly for those of us who picked up a lot of odd bits on the tour of Legoland a few weeks ago. This sounds like a great idea, I will watch with interest. I would suggest as a starting point; Top quality MOC's 'Alternative' models (eg chess sets) and 'Alternative' uses for lego (eg picture frames, vases)? (23 years ago, 21-Apr-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Stripes in light blue? Is that all you can do? :-) I think they're really good. The diesel looks better now with more yellow at the front, and those curved-top bricks really make the hopper something special. Those other wagons look the part too. (...)
