  Slating Ebay

Say what you like about Ebay. It has numerous faults but I just picked up an 8865 test car for 32 quid using buy it now. Not bad at all. (URL) (23 years ago, 20-Nov-01, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Shopping news - online and high street

The Asda near where I work has a similar red cardboard affair with similar stock, thousands of (expensive) freestyle buckets and a harry potter display that has been there almost a week, but still has no prices on any of the sets - hence they havent (...) (...) Near me, the train (4708) is the hardest one to find. I checked 6 shops before I got one last weekend. If anyone needs the HP castle set (4709), there are a few UK sellers with them on ebay right now at £85 - £100! See: (URL) A (23 years ago, 19-Nov-01, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Hello guys and gurlies. I bought this on a whim on Saturday... I have to say it is quite good fun. (...) I think there's some truth to that. It's been my experience anyway. Plus no one mentions whether they smoke or not. I'll tell you what I think is dodgy-est about him though... his exchange rate! He wants 1.6 USD to 1 sterling. This at a time (...) (23 years ago, 18-Nov-01, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Dodgy ebay sellers

The cost of listing on eBay is only a few pence - if the item sells you get hit for a percentage of course.
