  LEGO Truck Show
 
I noticed on the LEGO web site that the Truck Show will be in Sweden (I guess technically it is going on right now) in August. Since it didn't come anywhere close to me here in the US and I will be in Sweden in a few weeks, I am hoping to catch it (...) (27 years ago, 2-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.se)

(...) I did get the VAT refund. A grand total of £10 on my purchases. Seems to me like it was a bit less than a sixth, closer to a tenth. I spent about £100 on and got £10 back. You paid £16 each for these sets - do you know you can claim the VAT back by filling in the appropiate form - might be a bit late now but useful in the future when you come back - you can reclaim one-sixth of the cost per item. I am on my way back the US, I leave from Heathrow in the morning so I thought I would report on what I found on my journey which consisted of two days in Stockholm and one day in London. There is a toy store called "Stor & Liten" ("Big and small") in "Gallerian" in stockholm. They sell lego. No fotboll sets or so have been sold in Sweden (what I know about). I have to go to a meeting in Stockholm in early July for a couple of days. I have a couple of questions for the local folks: 1) Where is the best place(s) to buy LEGO in Stockholm? 2) Were the World Cup sets sold in Sweden? If so, it is still (...)
